Hi,
I'm new to the game and will be my groups GM, so I am doing some research here.
I'm pretty sure that outside of the game the Pathfinder society is like the living fill in the blank that Wizards runs.
However, I have seen a few blurbs for Adventure Paths that lead me to believe that it is also an in game organization.
Is this correct and if so where can I find information about how to use it in my game(entry requirements, benefits, etc.)?
Thanks

Pathfinder Society is the Organized Play program, but it is indeed also the name of the in-game organization. You can find out more about the Pathfinder Society in the Inner Sea World Guide and Field Guide, and I'm sure we'll talk about it in the Shattered Star Adventure Path as well.

The Pathfinder Society has always struck me a lot like the Royal Society of Great Britain where explorers gathered to share tales after exploring distant places or ruins.
You may also learn a lot more about Golarion on the PathfinderWiki page.
