Alright, hellknights are awesome, and I want to play a signifier so bad it hurts. Does anyone have ANY info at all about the signifier? even basic stuff like will it be arcane or divine, or something of that nature. Thanks!

According to the PathfinderWiki entry, signifiers can be both Arcane and Divine casters. I don't know if they have to wear heavy armour though.
And in a cross-platform advert; if you plan to play Pathfinder Online then please feel free to contact me about becoming a member of the Order of the Thorn, PFO's first Hellknight-based Chartered Company!

Since the Hellknights train with summoned devils, I'd imagine that summoning would be one of the primary duties of a signifier.
Of the Summoner class, the Master Summoner's ability to summon up a horde of devils to spar with would be particularly useful and the Synthesis Summoner's ability to have basically a suit of armor that IS a devil would be cool.

I'm guessing that wouldn't workThe summoner is the rarest of all the classes in Golarion (even more rare than the Gunslinger!). Of classed NPCs, archetypes are by and far the exception rather than the norm. So we already have the rarest class, and then tack on even more rarity in the form of the master summoner. And we just hit bizarro-levels of rarity. So for that alone, I kinda doubt it.

I was commenting on their usefulness to the signifiers, not that the signifiers would have a large number of them. I'd imagine that the vast majority of them would be clerics of Asmodeus, as stated earlier.
Of the arcane casters, the ones who can summon devils would be of the most use. That kinda rules out the Magus and Bard. There'd be a fair amount of Wizard/Diabolist in the mix, but they would probably be unarmored. An armored arcane caster would probably be an Eldritch Knight or a Summoner.

I can't remember where but I remember seeing a thread from a developer that stated that signifier was a magus specific prestige class. I remember because a summoner player got really angry about the prestige class being class specific.
And here I am hoping it is rather Magus specific, although I can certainly see Summoners going that route as well.
Different strokes I guess ;)

I agree that it would be odd for it to not be open to clerics and oracles, but it might be the case from the old order of the stick comic where they were stopped by a samurai, but the samurai didn't have any samurai levels. It was just a title as well as a class. It might be something like that, but I'd like it to be more open so that any heavy caster(6 or more spell levels) that can fight can get it.

I only found out this week that it is a singifer, not a signifier... I'm still going to call it a 'signifier' though, because it sounds better.
There is, however, an ever so slight difference between a signifier and a Signifer.
