I have an idea to share with other future or current GMs out there.
If I run a campaign for you (could be of your choosing) would you in turn run a Skull & Shackles that I will be a character in? Id even run a s&s of my own for you, but obviously that could create some... difficulties. Not impossible difficulties, but clearly some challenges with me knowing what's in the AP. So far I've avoided reading it.
Ideally I'd run something not s&s and you would run s&s for me and whoever we get to join.
I suppose this is a GM recruitment. I like to run a fast game, and mostly stick to the script but reserve the right to pull the GM card for my or my players creativity.
Anyone interested?
Thanks!
Edit. I suppose I should list some of my preferences. I like faster games, like two posts a day, but I'm flexible to RL and weekends. Ummmm, and no name calling. ;-)

I would tentatively be interested in this. Before making any sort of commitment, though, I need to be upfront on a couple of points. The first is somewhat personal, but relevant.
Some time ago I adopted an abandoned CotCT campaign on these boards. The game was going well until some family issues arose and my own health began to slowly spiral out of control. Unfortunately I had to leave that game, and as my condition grew into full-blown depression I eventually had to take a leave from the Paizo boards entirely for several months. I only recently returned. I would love to get back into running a game, but thyroid troubles were identified as the reason for my depression and treatment is ongoing. My doctor warns that he will likely have to make continual adjustments over the next few years until finding the proper dosages that will adequately address the problem. I mention this because my energy levels will sometimes fluctuate dramatically as a result, and my depression may even return for brief intervals, potentially affecting my ability to run a game.
The second point is my own GM style. It sounds as if we agree on generally sticking to the script, but also being willing to mix things up a bit to play on the characters' strengths (and occasional weaknesses). I also like a somewhat faster game, but two posts a day is a bit much for me. I prefer one post a day, barring holidays and weekends, provided the group can keep the posting schedule.
Let me know if this sounds acceptable, and feel free to ask any questions of me you might wish; what you propose intrigues me, and I see a fair amount of potential.

@GM Agent, Well that is quite the story. I'm glad you're feeling well enough to come back to the boards! At least for the time being. I understand your 1 post a day preference, as most people have that same frequency, or profess to being able to do more then end back up on 1/day. Such is life. In regards to your depression returning and it affecting your game, are you saying you'd probably need to drop out for several months like before? Or something else? Just hoping for a little clarification if you don't mind the fairly personal question. Thanks!
@Marek, Nope, but close!

GM Agent |

I don't mind at all.
If it does return, and I'm really hoping it doesn't, any future bouts of depression should not be anywhere near as long as what I initially experienced. The biggest issue was that during that time I was not receiving treatment at all; having just moved to a new area, I had to wait several months before an endocrinologist had an opening in his schedule and could start the initial blood work.
That being said, apparently the process of determining the proper treatment is a matter of guesswork over time; unfortunately I cannot guarantee anything, but I suppose when you think about it that's normally the case in life. Still, I understand if you would rather wait and find someone else.

My preference would be Carrion Crown. I've been accepted into five instances of the AP now, only to have all of those groups collapse around me before getting past the introduction. It's now become one of those things that I'm driven to experience.
EDIT Do you already have a S&S character concept in mind, Mug?

GM Agent |

Because, there's two gm's here i'll ask. How do I become a gm on the forums? Is there an official process or experience requirements needed to become one?
There's no official process to go through. Just post a recruitment thread describing your campaign and the characters you are looking for. Select a group from those that respond and start, either here on the Paizo boards or at an alternative venue of your choice.
It looks like you're currently part of a PbP, so you should have an idea of what to expect from such a game. Feel free to poke your head into ongoing game threads if you want to look for tips and tricks, as well as contacting GMs via private message to ply their brains for ideas on anything you might wish to incorporate. We're generally a very welcoming community.

I understand entirely, Mug. I've two concepts in my head for CC as well: a wizard archer that would eventually enter the Eldritch Knight PrC or a dual-cursed oracle of ancestors. Not sure which I prefer at this point, but I'm also flexible in the selection. I'll give it some thought over the next couple of days.
@ Steel Cofrez: I want to get the first installment of the AP read thoroughly before posting my recruitment thread. Look for it some time this week.

well this is interesting as I was not selected for 3 different S&S games and 3 different CC games.
I would be willing to fill in as a player in either of these games.
also starting in Sept (most likely) I will be running a pathfinder PbP game here not any of the AP's but instead my own campagin that takes place in pathfinder (no homebrew rules, no homebrew pantheon, and now homebrew game world)
the reason for sept start date is 1) need to finalize the story line and develop the starting location. and 2) that is when I return from my Carribeian Cruise

I figured there would be plenty of interest. As I mentioned, keep an eye open for my recruitment thread some time this week.
@Valmoon If you're interested, feel free to submit a character to one or both of the games when the recruitment threads go up. You may have only a year of experience at this point, but by the time an AP is finished via PbP you may easily have increased that experience by two or three times. At least. There's plenty of time for you to get the hang of things.

ok I will fallow your advice and do so. :)
