Good feats for ninja in Skull and Shackles game?

Advice

What are some good feats/tricks for a ninja to take? I'm a Tiefling Rakshasha blood variant so my stats are ok for Ninja, no hit to CHA. I got a good roll on the Fiendish Heritage and got DR 2/Silver. That's awesome at 1st lvl. :-) My stat's arent too uber at all. STR 10, DEX 18, CON 10, INT 14, WIS 10, CHA 15. I plan on raising my CHA to 16 at lvl 4 if I live that long. Also I'm in the Skull and Shackles Pirate game.

I know I plan to take Weapon Finese at lvl 3, and Invis at lvl 2. Unsure on what else I should do. I was thinking two weapon fighting, but doesnt that give a penalty of -2? Already having enough trouble hitting anything... though by then my BAB would be better.

Why didn't you take Weapon Finesse at lvl 1?

my 2c (of cheese):
level 1 (ninja): weapon finesse
Level 2 (fighter[Lore warden]): Dervish dance (you get scimitar prof for free)
Level 3 Keep going as scimitar-wielding ninja who uses only 1 weapon :-)

...Ninja BAB is not +1 at lvl 1. You need a +1 BAB to take weapon finese.

Also feats should really make SENSE too. Where am I going to learn to use a scimitar on a pirate ship? They have cutlass, not scimitar. Especially with my DM who is good that way. Why would I want a scimitar though? Doesn't wakizashi do the same damage and have a better or same crit range AND its deadly?

There are no requirements for Weapon Finesse.

Don't know who told you that but there are no prerequisites for Weapon Finesse.

I did say it was my cheese contribution:

By the way:

Weapon finesse:

Weapon Finesse (Combat)
You are trained in using your agility in melee combat, as opposed to brute strength.

Benefit: With a light weapon, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls.

Special: Natural weapons are considered light weapons.

Dervish dance is from the inner sea world guide

Where are you going to learn scimitar? From taking a level of fighter or ranger or barbarian. It's a class feature.

Edit: "Deadly" is a joke. The +4 virtual damage when calculating coup de grace is farcial. How often are you on a position to CDG in a game?

3.5 hold over.

This AP is FULL of pirates. Your ninja is doomed!

On the contrary, as the only ninja, he will be strongest. Everyone knows the Law of Ninja; the more ninja there are in a given area, the weaker they become.

You will become unstoppable... mother of god!

Depends on your allies. Sleep/Color Spray fans dramaticly increase how common it is. Dastardly finish isn't out of the question either.

That said, as a SA guy it is still overkill.

As for feats, Eldritch Heritage always has gems for someone with the charisma (Bedrock and Arcane are obviously not applicable for you, but Slyvian or Aquatic are good).

Side note: Cutlass uses the exact same stats as scimitar so if you ask your dm nicely...

Damn I did not know weapon finese now had NO requirements! KHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANnnnnnnnnnnnn!
However my first lvl feat gave me something just as good. Damage Reduction. Gotta love Fiendish Heritage when you get a good roll! I have DR 2/Silver and its great for a low level PC.

One might even call it overpowered. :P

If your first level feat is already set in stone and your GM won't let you change it, you can take weapon finesse as a ninja trick by using the finesse rogue talent as your trick. Or take lore warden and get a bonus feat at level 2.

I'd have to have a good IC reason for lore warden. How am I gonna learn that on a pirate ship? I dont think its possible? Also I want invisibility at 2cd level. I'd rather not waste a trick on weapon finese.

and yeah its set in stone. We've already played like 2 or 3 games. I LIKE my DR also. Its very very handy. Like I got whiped for failing my job on the ship and I hardly took any damage. I got stabbed by Fips, the elf hater guy and he didn't hurt me. DR is great. :-p Plus I think there ARE feats I can take to increase it?

Damn, dervish dance DOES look like a good feat after all...

Yes, a Wakisashi is better then a scimitar stats wise when used with weapon finesse. Just remember to get it Agile'd so you get more damage on it.

IMO a +1 weapon bonus costs less then a feat.

Agile'd? Is that a cool enchantment?

Also, the scimitar is actually the exact same statwise as a wakizashi, it just doesn't have Deadly. It does the same base damage and the same crit. It's a slashing weapon however whereas the wakizashi is slash and pierce; however with the dancing dervish feat you can pierce with a scimitar.

You can grab the feat at level 3, long before a +2 weapon become affordable, though.

Sigh. Class ability? Did you somehow totally miss my PC's class is Ninja? He can learn to turn invisible on his own.

Besides, a good part of the beginning of the game involves trying to avoid the notice of the ship's officers.

I'm pretty sure that's his point.

It sure does, however I MAY go with Weapon Finese instead cause it really sucks not being able to hit things because my pc only has an 11 str.
