Hey all.
So here is another simple (I hope) question.
**Please note, I DID look for an anwser but either my search-fu is weak, or there isnt one**
The Silvanshee has a lay hands ability at CL 2 (it is a 2HD creature)
if it is a familiar of say, an 8th level character would its lay hands be at level 8?
you can find the creature Here
Thanks all.

As it retains it's own hit dice sadly i don't think it's caster level increases.
Incorrect:
Hit Dice: For the purpose of effects related to number of Hit Dice, use the master's character level or the familiar's normal HD total, whichever is higher.
Also this has come up before and I have it from a developer that the Silvanshee's caster level (and level for his lay on hands ability) technically increases with your level.
If you look under my profile and posts and search for 'silvanshee' you can find several threads that have gone over this already.

That's specifically in regards to the silvanshee's lay on hands ability though right? Its spell-like abilities stay at caster level 2? Its dimension door SLA doesn't get any better?

Oh sorry -- My understanding is the caster level specifically won't improve since it isn't directly tied to the silvanshee's hit dice.
IF it had (Caster level = to hit dice) or something in its type or subtype that said something like that then it would improve (or if you had a familiar that had a line about casting spells as a sorcerer of level equal to its hit dice).
But yes, that only applies to its lay on hands ability as I understand it.
