Well sure it only works once but that 1 time it will be epic.

Epic? Eh. He will get one attack (not full attack) with sneak attack on a flat footed PC but will be at a negative for attacking from the ground, and then immediately afterward initiative will start and he will have 4 or so PCs REALLY angry and beating on him while he lays on the ground.

He could have some manner of feats that allow him to full attack with two +1 self-loading hand-crossbows, firing PC-bane bolts with sneak attack.

THAT would be a dick move.

I don't think we have the same definition of epic.

I ask for copies. It helps to know what the characters are capable of.
Our DM keeps copies just in case one of us is absent.

Our GM gives us 2% bonus experience if we keep the character sheet on his website up to date. (Carrot)

And then that's the version he uses when someone is absent -- even if it's a level or two out of date. (Stick)

Seems to work well.

You know, if he's playing dead to get the drop on the PCs....
If he's making a bluff check to get an advantage on the PCs....
Then it should be an Improved Feint or even Greater Feint...

I'd also have some extra minions hiding behind cover/doors/etc, to run out and flank the group.

Related tangent:

Important note: if your adventurers are trying to be "efficient" then at least two people are on body looting duty, because it is bloody hard to get armor off of a dead guy by yourself.

Just look at the "donning and removing armor" section, and multiply it by about 2-3, depending on the character's strength and armor proficiency (knowing how to wear it helps with knowing how to take it off).

I consider how long looting a body actually takes if the PCs want more than just his belt pouch. I usually say 1 minute for a "just shy of cavity search" looting. That can eat into buff spells and the like.

Tangent over.

I may make use of it someday, when I have a group again.

I will also recommend Drop Box. Free Real Time File Sharing Site.

Actually i already addressed that with my previous post. He can take monkey style to eliminate the penalties to attack and AC while prone, take the bandit archetype for 4the levels at least to allow a full round of actions in a surprise round, take the underhanded talent to deal maximum damage, and possibly the knife master archetype to increase the damage further. Shanks the guy for impressive damage, possible bleed or other damage, possible poison, then stands as a swift action, takes off running. Or his friends in hiding use that moment to attack.

Bravo... +1

Expect that if this works (or even if it doesn't), people will stab every corpse with a longspear or other reach weapon -- probably with full sneak attack and/or power attack - from that point on.

Wait... They don't do that already? We usually give 3 or 4 extra hits to every fallen enemy (after we dealt with the ones that are still moving, obviously!

Damn ghouls made us paranoic!
