Acid Splash damage

Advice

The Exchange

I understand Acid Splash is a Cantrip and does 1d3 damage upon impact.
I was wondering , is there a way I can enhance Acid Splash so that it does a full 1d6 damage? I thoroughly enjoyed the "orb" spells of 3.5 and am wondering how to at least have a 1d6 constant use spell available.
Thanks to everyone that has an idea.

Sneak attack with it?

Scarab Sages

If you're a sorcerer, you could take the Draconic (Green/Copper) and Primal (Earth) bloodlines, then go into Wizard (Evoker) for the rest of your casting career. This would net you 1d3+3 at level 2, 1d3+6 at level 10, and 1d3+11 at level 20.

Hardly optimized, but that's the best I can think of off the top of my head.

If you use a flask of acid as a power focus (Adventurer's Armory) you get +1 damage.

Bingo! I was just reading up on rogues, and noticed the Minor Magic rogue trick, which lets the rogue pick a wizard cantrip to use 3 times per day as a spell like ability. Acid splash overcomes DR and ignores SR, so that would be great at higher levels where you face that stuff regularly. Use it from within 30 feet in the first round while the enemy is flatfooted, and you've got 1d3 + your sneak attack dice on a ranged touch/flatfooted attack that should be very easy to hit.

That and the right bloodline would give you 1d3+2 (better than 1d6!).

Sorcerer with havoc of the society trait adds 1 point of force damage to all of his damaging spells.

Throw a flask of acid? 1d6 + Splash around it...same Range Touch Attack...

Weigh the options...a little more gold...or use your permanent traits and feats and class abilities to increase the damage on 1 cantrip?

I'd rather spend some gold than "waste" the other things doing 2-3 more damage on a cantrip.

Which is why I like the Power Focus. Actually, using it as a power component makes it last another round (so d3 over two rounds).

Most awesome Acid Splash EVAR! Use a Quickening Rod to cast it twice, and watch your enemies tremble in fear!
