Concept: Male half-orc used to be a member of the Steel Wyvern gang in Augustana during said gang's decline. He gave up on them, deciding that actual dragons were cooler than wyverns, and (fortunately) directed his attention to good-aligned dragons and became a follower of Apsu. Now, he's a divine warrior of his god, spreading the might and goodness of dragons through his travels with the Pathfinder Society. Though he's mostly left his sewer-gang roots behind, he still favors his old weapon choice: the spiked chain (used to be his "Wyvern Sting", now it's his "Dragon Tail"). Having spent his youth in the sewers (sometimes encountering kobolds) he's used to looking for traps.

Build Overview:
Capable in combat, but also a skilled negotiator and trapfinder. Good Diplomacy, Perception, and Disable Device as his main skills. Balanced between ranged and melee combat.

Details:
Half-orc [Chain Fighter, Scavenger, Sacred Tattoo]
STR 13 (bump at 4th)
DEX 16 (14+2)
CON 13 (bump at 8th)
INT 12
WIS 12
CHA 14

Traits: Armor Expert, ???

01:Paladin1[Divine Hunter]:[Smite Evil][Bonus Feat:Precise Shot], Weapon Finesse Uses spiked chain.
02:Ranger1[Urban]:[Favored Enemy: Human]
03:Inquisitor1[Spellbreaker]:[Strong Willed][Domain:Travel(Exploration)][Judgment], Power Attack
04:Ranger2[Urban]:[Bonus Feat: Rapid Shot][STR+1=14]Buy STR+2 comp longbow.
05:Paladin2[Divine Hunter]:[Lay on Hands][Divine Grace], FEAT At this point my saves are 12/9/9 before enhancements, if I did my math right. And I can roll twice against mind-affecting effects.
06:Ranger3[Urban]:[Trapfinding]
07:Inquisitor from here on out.

Thoughts? Feat or trait suggestions?

Sczarni

Something for Initiative for the trait. +3 is good, but +5 is better.

Feat Many Shot?

Won't qualify. ;)

I would suggest going from cleric, to inquisitor. The MAD will be kept down, and the Find Traps spell will make the ranger dip unnecessary.

Errrm, I wouldn't go personally for Cornugon Trip (yep, just throw that weapon away!) but cornugon shield is basically free AC for you if you wanted it.

Speaking of Cornugons, the Cornugon smash feat which lets you intimidate enemies as a free action when you power attack is gold, especially if you later pick up shatter defenses (shaken and flatfooted, a nice one two punch, even better if you add some Rogue (thug) into the mix so you can send them packing when you hit them, it only takes a 1 level investment)

Edit: Actually, scratch some of what I said, I keep forgetting that Cornugon smash isn't as boss as enforcer.

Huh? I am going Inquisitor. No cleric levels. What are you talking about?

I have no idea what you're talking about with all this "cornugon" stuff, especially that first bit where you caution me against something that I didn't include in my build.

Ah, sorry, those are all feats and these are the feat suggestions that you were asking for? To either replace in your build or to tack on later.

Cornugon trip lets you throw a spiked chain and trip people up, cornugon shield is basically like two weapon defense for spiked shields and cornugon smash, as mentioned lets you intimidate enemies when you power attack as a free action.

They're up on the OGC if you want to give them a look.

I mean keep the multiclassing and MAD down.

Maybe choose something other than the spiked chain.
Take a look at the Channel Foci.

I like the Birthmark Trait for a number of my divine characters, saves having to find / wield / produce that holy symbol for all the spells.

I see divine hunter, but is this primarily a shooter or melee build? Nothing wrong with a good mixed bag, just have to know.

with the background, I can see the Preacher Inquisitor Archetype (kicking in at INQ 3)fitting the role. And a couple of choice Inquisitions could fit as well.

Ah, I see. Well, it appears to be from a splat book I don't have, so there goes that.

Would it be overkill to take Iron Will at 5th? ;)

EDIT: Ninja'd. This was a reply to prototype.

First, note that I'm not spending a feat on proficiency - the Chain Fighter alternate racial trait lets me treat it as a martial weapon, and Paladin1 gives me proficiency. Furthermore, using it with Weapon Finesse means I keep my MAD down despite straddling melee and range, and using it with Power Attack means I get to keep my melee damage up despite my lowish STR.

No other weapon will let me accomplish all this together, except the ECB.

The what?

Hm, not a bad idea. Having a dragon on my face would be pretty BA. Also might explain why, in my youth, I mistook it for a wyvern and joined that crappy gang. ;)

Straddling melee and range. Using Divine Hunter and ranger to snag two key feats for archery, and leaving it at that.

Channel Foci.

Grand Lodge RPG Superstar 2015 Top 32, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

Hm, don't have any of those sources. Thanks anyway.

Grand Lodge

You could simply print the info. Is it disallowed?

Grand Lodge RPG Superstar 2015 Top 32, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

I seem to have forgotten to mention that this is a PFS character. My bad.

Anyway, that means that I need to own the resource. I have Core, APG, UC, Field Guide, and ISWG.

Grand Lodge

Ah. Missed that.
