Suggestions for making a "Raised by Wolves" type character

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I have an idea stuck in my head for a character who was abandoned in the wilderness as a child, and grew up basically without human contact (the most direct inspiration would be San from Princess Mononoke. Class-wise, any of Barbarian, Druid or Ranger could fit, but I'm not sure where to take the concept from there. Any suggestions?

Not an exact match, but I was raised by wolves for a bit. Check my profile for the background.

Dark Archive

Every level they need maxed ranks in survival, swim, climb, and handle animal.

Stay away from skill points into bluff, knowledges (Other than Nature, or Geography), diplomacy, and appraise.

Ranger would be the easy answer. Depending on heavily you want to mix role play and mechanics, spring attack, trip, scent, and animal empathy would all be good options.

True Primitive archteype for barbarian.

Natural Attack fighting style for ranger, perhaps halforc as race to pick up the bite attack.

Tsks. Why is being raise by wolves a bad thing? They're excelent parents, and they believe it takes a pack to raise a child...

i'd suggest ranger with archetype of either beastmaster or shapeshifter. you either have a whole stable of animal friends you picked up during your time in the wilds or in the case of the shapeshiftter you take on aspects of those animals.

also id agree with Carbon D. Metric about the skills, maybe go gnome for the speak with animals ability. definitely bad table manners

I see San as a wolf shaman druid with liberation domain as their nature's bond.

BigNorseWolf has a point. I've been reading the original Conan stories and have been playing a thusly inspired barbarian in my current campaign. You can be completely feral but discover civilization later in life. The intelligent savage will make use of advanced technology like good weapons and good armor, or seek spell casting training if it seems appealing. A wolf would do it.
