Enlarge person item.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Is there a Peizo product, (not 3rd party) say belt of giant size?

There's the giant-hide armor from the APG.

At a min. of 39,000. Is there anything cheeper?

Potions of enlarge person.

Or you can find some one to make the spell perminant.

We just used the Item creation rules to make the item. 3000pg for a Belt. We created it as a continues item, but duration was 10 minutes per "activation". Our GM was cool with the it. But in his world we don't get a lot of magic items unless we can "make them" for our-self.

Actually, that isn't Enlarge person, that is Giant form spell (priced at 30K, added to +3 armor.

Kind of wonder their formula for 30K cost.

1/day item of Enlarge person would only cost:
2000 x 1 x 1=2000 gp.
Assumingly slotless: 4K.

Our dm is buy only. I.e. we cant have items made for us

MIC (3.5 D&D) has it, but not anywhere in PF I see.

The one in MIC is over priced, and only 3 uses per day. YUCK.

What about a wand of Enlarge Person? Cheaper then potions.

thebluecanary: define overpriced. The fact is that many spells turned into magic items are broken. Even the ones that arent broken are not automatically the price listed in the formula.

For example: Ring of Invisibility should be 2*3*1800 = 10,800 but is instead 20,000. Why? because 10,800 is too cheap for what it does.

I was wrong, its 3000 gp for One uses a day.

In the current system that would be: (1*1*1800)/(5/1)= 360 gp.

But that was the old vs. new.

And a Ring of Invisibility would be 2*3*2000*1.5 = 18,000 bumped up to 20,000.

thebluecanary: ring of invisibility is a command word item, not continuous or use activated. The pricing for a command word item is spell level*caster level*1800. If that item then has charges per day you divide by (5/x) where x is charges per day.

- Gauss

Edit: The MIC belt of growth: 1*10*1800/(5/1) = 3,600. The Belt of Growth is listed for 3,000. A bargain.

The formulas on page 285 of the DMG are basically the same as those on page 550 of the Core rulebook. Uncustomary Space limitation was removed, Spell has XP cost was removed. The space affinities comment was removed.
