So my character just died in Serpent Skull (2nd module)and I want to create a "Beast" of a character. What I have settled on so far is a Full Orc Barbarian that will eventually become a Dragon Disciple. (I have been reading through Oterisk's DD guide and DD looks epic) We are currently level 5 and on a 25 point buy and the recommended starting gold for a 5th lvl character.
I want to use natural weapons (claws, bite) and my goal is to be as "feral" as possible. I plan on making my character a native of the mwangi expanse just for a change of pace as my last character was a snobbish cavalier that consistently referred to the natives as savages, so I figured playing a "savage" would be fun.
What I need is help building this character as this is only my third character I've build for pathfinder and it is completely different than anything I've played before. I am not sure what arcane caster class would be best, I was thinking Sorc just because it would be best for my tribal/shamanistic concept. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Do what you need to do to take the Eldritch Heritage line for the Orcish Bloodline. For th ecost of five feats and a bump in Charisma, you get:
Skill Focus: Survival
Pre-req but not a bad one.
Eldritch Heritage
Touch of Rage - grants a target +1/2 your level to attack and damage for one round as a standard action. If your GM allows campaign traits, then Opportunistic Gambler extends this duration 1d4 rounds when used on yourself.
Improved Eldritch Heritage
Strength of the Beast - a +2 inherent Strength bonus at 11th, again at 15th and again at 17th level.
Improved Eldritch Heritage
Fearless - This one is optional, but you gain a +4 save bonus vs. fear, eventually becoming immune to it, lose your light sensitivity and gain a +1 Natural Armor bonus at 5th level and another +1 at 11th.
Greater Eldritch Heritage
Power of Giants - for a number of minutes per day equal to your level, you gain +6 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, +4 Natural Armor bonus and the Reach of a large creature.
All of these Strength and Natural Armor bonuses stack with that of your DD and Sorcerer Draconic Bloodline. I've made and run a Half-Orc Paladin/Gold Dragon Disciple based off of this concept and he is utterly indomitable.

Screw Eldritch Heritage in this case. Crossblood the sorceror level and use Dragon Blood to up the Orc half for the STR bonus. Keep in mind that Abyssal Bloodline and Orc Bloodline STR bonuses are the same type as the Manual of STR, so you can't stack that (but you do save yourself 200k gold AND end up with a higher bonus).
If you don't care about your spells as much (which it appears you don't), then Crossblooded is really the way to go. If you really want to get messy, you can always EH into Pit-Touched for the inherent CON bonus. I don't think it's worth the 3 feats, though, vs the WBL.

Hawktitan wrote:I wouldn't go all the way up to greater, improved is enough. At that point you don't really want to be turning into a giant. You want to be changing into a giant DRAGON.Meh - I find that Giant Form is more powerful AND you can do it up to 20 times a day.
I guess it depends on whether or not you focus on natural attacks or weapon attacks. If you are doing natural attacks then dragon is probably better. If you are say a paladin/sorc using mostly weapon attacks then giant form is probably better.

There is a martial arts style that was developed by orcs in UC that allows you to rend and I think you get a bite attack. I think it is boar style.
Although I this style is pretty awesome, I can't help but go with Dragon Style for thematic purposes. As I said though, this character has become a natural weapon Barb/Monk. It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to play while being pretty potent in combat. The overall concept has stayed the same, he is just not a caster what so ever. In fact, I made him pretty feral. Haven't fully decided on back story details but I am basically going to have him raised by some sort of animal, the party should have a fun time "domesticating" him :)
