I want to make Pwent from Drizzt books, help?

Advice

So as the title states, I want to make a grappling dwarf like Pwent from the Drizzt books. Any help on this?

Thanks :)

Start with Brutal Pugilist and look into the most satisfying or thematic rage powers

Or Armored Hulk for Heavy Armor, take spiked armor and spiked gauntlets, Brawler, Greater Brawler and Body Bludgeon rage powers, snag Improved Grapple and Throw Anything as feats.

The Exchange

i would rather play pikel. snake animal companion and a shelalah. (club for those of you uneducated in dwarven/druid spells)

I would say pikel's "club" was more of a tree stump lol

The Exchange

tree trunk=-dwarven club. shelalah=magical tree trunk.

wasn't pikel from a different series though? cadderly or some such?

Originally from The Cleric Quintet(Cadderly's series), but he later made appearances in The Thousand Orcs and The Lone Drow(both being Drizzt books).

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Those of us uneducated in druid spells actually spell it shillelagh

That's what pikel is technically saying, but he isn't easy to understand, due to his..err..social impairment, so pronounces it "Sha la la". Also character fluff :)

He also wasn't a druid according to him. He was a doo dad

Touche.

Wow thanks for that derailment... If I wanted to play Pikel the title would have been I want to make Pikel from Drizzt books, help?...

@Mc Templar - Are those things in Pathfinder? Can you point them out for me?

I would say armoured hulk would be best but spiked gauntlets dont work with the brawler rage powers. He does have spiked gauntlets in the books but the damage in game is bad, you would probably be best going unarmed as there feats and rage powers to increase this.

Armoured hulk is in Ultimate Combat and the brawler rage powers are in Advanced players guide.

Armored Hulk is a variant in the Ultimate Combat, as is the rage power body bludgeon http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCombat/classArchetypes/barbarian .html

Brawler, Greater Brawler are in the advanced players guide, the cover unarmed combat during rage

Improved Grapple and Throw Anything are both in main book
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/feats.html#_throw-anything

Improved grapple requires unarmed strike... but the final bonus would be grapple enemy, pin them, use them as a weapon, and throw them like a thrown weapon when you're done with them. (alot of feats to get to that tho')
