animal companion question

Silver Crusade

Would a level 5 cleric with the animal/plant domain , level 5 sorcerer with the sylvan bloodline/verdant bloodline have an animal companion that is level 10 with boon companion feat or level 5 ?

Greetings, fellow traveller.

You're granted Animal Companions from two different sources which do not stack.
As such, you have an AC from you cleric levels and another from your sorcerer levels.
You then have to decide to which of the two, you apply the feat Boon Companion.

Ruyan.

No, it would be 2 animal companions, one as if you were 9th level and the other as if you were 5th level, the levels do not stack on themselves IIRC, and Boon Companion only applies to one animal companion per use of the feat.

Benefit: The abilities of your animal companion or familiar are calculated as though your class were four levels higher, to a maximum bonus equal to your character level*. If you have more than one animal companion or familiar, choose one to receive this benefit. If you lose or dismiss an animal companion or familiar, you may apply this feat to the replacement creature.

Special: You may select this feat more than once. The effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a different animal companion or familiar.

Hm, I just found

So it would seem, you would get one AC and the levels would indead stack and your AC/your effective druid level is bolstered by Boon Companion.

Ruyan.

I would edit, but the boards currently wont let me... I just found the rule myself.

but I don't see anything in the Verdant Bloodline that gives you an animal companion, so I'm not sure where to other animal companion is coming from.

They stack, as both the bloodline and the domain mention an "effective druid level". Druid stacks with druid.

the sorcerer side of the animal companion is coming from the fey/sylvan bloodline side . Thanks for the opinions because that is what i thought as well but have only played PFS for about a year so I'm still at a loss often on the finer rules which is why i come here to ask .

thanks again so my time and concept wasn't a complete waste of time .Her role-play concept is she thinks she is a new type of fey species and has intermixed divine/arcane abilities :)

Keep in mind that if this is for PFS, you can only have one combat animal active per scenario.
