Having just finished the game, and knowing already that we have a good base to build from, using Pathfinder, adapting d20 Modern/Future, I'm wondering whether a Mass Effect Pathfinder game would have an appeal and what it would take for Paizo to develop such a campaign setting.
Game licensed games almost inevitably suck, because a good deal of what would go into paying for development has to go to paying for the license itself. Staff time is not free.

No. Just no. Bioware works for EA, and the last thing I want to see is EA getting involved in Pathfinder.

Have you seen the series of blogs talking about the hard early years of Paizo? All of the pain and heartache came about due to Paizo's dependence on licensed properties. EA/Bioware would have to let Paizo literally write their own license terms for a Pathfinder-Mass Effect game to even have a snowball's chance in Asmodeus's throne room.
Now as Kazarath said, Pathfinder-compatible fan conversions of the Mass Effect universe? Hell yeah, I'd be all over that. "Yeah, my new character is named Blasto. He's a Hanar Evoker in C-Sec."

There's also this project.
The Firefly-System could also be modded for Mass Effect rather easily.
That said, sure, I'd really like to see an official Mass Effect PnP.

I'll admit, the first thing I thought, "Wow, Wizards would be OP. I mean, Space Magic can do ANYTHING. The only thing worse would be Bards and their 'artistic integrity.' I mean, Colour Spray working in end-game? Insanity."
Some ideas:
Krogan Barbarian w. Futuristic Archetype
Turian Ranger w. Sniper Archetype
Asari Sorcerer w. Biotech Archetype

I would love it, and I've never played Mass Effect (I just love what I've seen of it when my friends play). I think the alien races are all pretty much awesome.
But I agree with the sentiments of the nay-sayers. Too many problems would arise from this.
I'd rather there was a Mass Effect tabletop game and we could just convert it.

What is "This?"
But yeah that would be cool.
