mage armor and bracers of armor

would designating the bonuses from bracers of armor to special armor abilities instead of +AC bonus allow you to be granted the +4 AC from mage armor ang the other goodies from the bracers?

No, due to the following sentence included in the description of the bracers:

So like... +1 Bracers of armor of light fortification? and then cast Mage shield.

The answer would be no. as soon as you cast mage armor you are getting a bigger armor bonus from another source.

If a creature receives a larger armor bonus from another source, the bracers of armor cease functioning and do not grant their armor bonus or their armor special abilities. If the bracers of armor grant a larger armor bonus, the other source of armor ceases functioning.
