The trophy hunter archetype:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCombat/classArchetypes/ranger.ht ml from ultimate combat grants the ranger access to some of the abilities of the gunslinger, yet there is no mention of them gaining proficiency with firearms as part of the achetype.
Is this an error or was it intended for them to have take the exotic weapon proficiency feat to gain the use of firearms.

Funny, doesn't look like he gets proficiency with firearms.

Well... yeah thats the point of my question, why is the tophy hunter not
proficient with fire arms.

Two of the Trophy Hunters class features imply the use of firearms: Firearm Style (gaining Amateur Gunslinger feat, and Gunslinger deeds), & Hunter’s Aim: (when targeting his favored enemies he he can target touch AC in the first two range increments of his firearm). Yet nothing in the achetype that mentions them gaining proficiency with firearms as part of the class archetype, was this the intent of the designers or an omission.

Still nothing, does anyone know if there has been any erreta on this.

There is no errata that I could find.

No one is responding because you did not use words like "alignment" or "broken" or "overpowered" in your thread title.

That and its cut and dried the class gives some uses for firearms but your gonna have to learn to use them on your own.

Hah! Everyone loves a flame war.

I houseruled that every archetype that grants benefits with firearms gains not only proficiency with firearms but also gains a firearm like the Gunslinger at 1st level.

I will keep that in mind for my next thread!

Yes I found this very vague and open also I like your house rule of getting proficiency and a gun like other archetypes I'll see if my gm will allow it but I already have proficiency and a gun for being a gunslinger but m putting my second level in trophy hunter ranger and our campaign has no gold coins to speak of because we are on an island by ourselves and if the trophy hunter gained a gun at first level it would be nice so I can get a pistol also but it would make sense that since I already have one I don't get another just for taking another class
