Highest Max dex?

Advice

Hey all,

So I am building a mutagen based Alchemist and am trying to decide on some good armor for the long haul.

I will have 20 dex at 4th. (+4 Dex bonus)
Mutagen for 4 more (+2 Dex)

Thats +6 at 4th level.

Not too hard to hit with a Mith Chain shirt.

However...

Lets look at say 16th level.

24 Dex (+6)
+8 Mutagen (+4)
+6 Item (+3)

Thats +13 and does not use Wishes/Tomes.

Is there ANY light armor that that can take advantage of this?

Or am I stuck with Bracers or Silken armor? (Silken is fairly crap at +1 Ac)

20 dex is +5 so 24 is + 7 +4+3 is +14 to dex, The highest I know of is celestial armour for a +8.

Liberty's Edge

There are two eastern armors that have no DEX limit.

Haramaki (Eastern Armor) from UC. cost 3 gp, has no max dex bonus, no spell failure or check penalty, weighs only 1 lb, and gives you +1 armor bonus to AC. Which you can then enhance with up to +5 for a +6 total bonus. In the long run, bracers of armor +8 is better, but also FAR more expensive (and not worth it for the extra +2 AC, IMO).

The Exchange

Drink a str mutagen instead when you hit your cap.

Fighters have armor training that help with max dex limits.

Celestial plate is really good, full plate +3 and a max dex of 6.

That's reverse engineering on a named item, most GMs will not allow that

Celestial plate: apparently it is in Skeletons of Scarwall.

Liberty's Edge

For those building characters for that campaign, note that Celestial Plate is not PFS legal. (It's total AC+DEX grant is +15, as opposed to +16 from CA.)

Celestial armour has a total AC+DEX of 17: +3 chainmail (9) and Dex 8.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah....chain is one of the armors that got a bump over the 3rd edition version.
