Natural attacks and Enhancements

Rules Questions

A monk could apply weapon properties to his unarmed attacks as his unarmed attacks count as manufactured and natural for the purpose of spells.

How about a critter with natural attacks? Can a turtle get a shocking bite? or a +1 bite? Can you enhance him with shocking grasp?

Also.. will providing said critter with natural attacks, a gauntlet that deals shocking grasp damage, will this work?

You can't permanently enchant a monk's unarmed strike, since that's not a spell. That line just means you can cast either magic weapon and magic fang on a monk. If it's not a spell, it doesn't work. So the monk could have someone cast magic weapon on his hands each morning, but he couldn't get them permanently +3. That's what the Amulet of Mighty Fists is for.

Providing a creature with an enchanted weapon (like a gauntlet) only helps if that creature then makes attacks with that weapon. Unarmed attacks are not natural weapons and vice versa.

Dark Archive

RAW no. NAtural weapons/unarmed cant be enchanted like normal weapons. For various reasons, including they arentt masterwork

Is there any other way for critters to get their natural attacks enhanced? so in the end, weapons still are the best option to get past DR?

Amulet of Mighty Fist!

Well technically, Greater Magic Fang can be made permanent via the spell Permanency for rather cheap. that's why an amulet of mighty fists is a fair bit more expensive then a normal weapon enchantment.

That's still very different than enchanting them as weapons. Permanent spells are still subject to being dispelled. Weapons just turn off for a few rounds. If you have someone around who can re-permanency it as needed, it's a viable alternative, though.
