Product Discussion

"Way of the Wicked Book One: Knot of Thorns" is now for sale as full color 104 page soft-cover book at DriveThruRPG.

And of course you can still get the PDF here at Paizo.com

The first book of the only 1-20th level evil campaign compatible with the Pathfinder RPG comes to print.

Get it now.

And be the bad guy.

Brilliant! I've been waiting for this to come out in printed format ever since I read about this in the threads. My laptop can't handle downloads and I don't have a printer in any case. My group and I are now looking forward to getting our evil on and embracing the dark side.

Yes! Can't wait till I get this.

Oh, and a pdf bundle. Sweeeet.

EDIT: And bought. Thanks!

This is a definite on my to get list. Though I am reluctant to get it at the moment since I am a player in a PbP of it. I don't want to look where I am not supposed to. But afterwards it is fair game.

Sgmendez,

Glad to hear your enjoying the PbP and that you're planning to pick up the book. When you do, I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I'm considering purchasing the print/pdf bundle...when can we expect Book Two of this series?

This is indeed great news, but I'm hoping we can end up ordering this through Paizo due to problems I've had of late with ordering things on RPGnow. The money seems to get deducted from my card by they never received the order.

But more importantly, I am delighted to hear that there's a POD of Way of the Wicked and I will get it -- somehow!

Eric,

Please let me know if you continue to have trouble and I will send an email to RPGnow.

And thanks for supporting our books!

I am definitely interested in this now that it is in print as long as there are plans to make all the book parts available in print as well.

Question on the print version: are the copies in stock at Paizo identical to those available through RPGNow? I ask because I see that Book 2 is currently unavailable from Paizo, and I'd like to buy the whole set. When I go to RPGNow to order a print-on-demand copy, it gives me a warning upon adding Book 3 that the item is a "Scanned Image print copy" saying:

Quote:
"For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey."

I'd much rather order everything from Paizo, and I'd like my print copies to be of equal (and high) quality. So, my questions are:

1) Are the Paizo and RPGNow print copies equivalent in terms of print quality? If not, then:
2) Is there a reprint of Book 2 inbound to Paizo?

andy29075,

All the print copies both on DriveThruRPG and Paizo.com are of the same quality, which you can ask the people who own them, is pretty darn high.

I have no idea how the "scanned image print copy" flag got tripped at DriveThru. Tears of the Blessed is no different from Book 1 or Book 2 or Book 4.

I just fixed that to "original electronic."

So to answer your question:

1) Yes.
2) Yes, though I have no definite date at this moment. As soon as possible.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions and thanks for supporting "Way of the Wicked".
