introduced in UM, frostbite is arguably a 'must have' spell for melee druids. at 4th level, when the druid first gets the wildshape ability, this humble first level spell will, barring spell resistance or charge dispersion, weigh in with a healthy 4d6 + 16 damage (nonlethal) and fatigue up to four targets. all this, and the extra punch is added to your natural attacks. worthy of an honourable mention is the rime spell feet, which adds an entangling effect to your attacks with no saves or combat manuver checks required.
is there something i'm missing here, or is this a seriously good spell for wildshape druids?
EDIT: forgot to mention. is there any first level spell that levels as well as this? i mean, at 20th level it's doing 20d6 + 400 damage. that's bang for your buck thats hard to match!

I'm sorry, I didn't check the duration. Wow, you're right, that does seem like some really great value. It's not too much per attack, but it adds up nicely provided you get the chance for many attacks. Seems much better.
it's a good spell on its own merit, agreed, but its true strength is in the fact that after casting it you can wildshape (a supernatural ability, thus not affecting the held charges) and add that extra damage to your claw claw bite combo for extra nasty goodness.
