What is the Capital of the Keleshite Empire?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Scarab Sages

Its not in Qadira: Gateway to the East. Its not in ISWG in the Qadira entry. Does anybody know, or is it unpublished?

On a random guess, is the capital city simply "Kelesh"? Most of the time the word is used its in adjective form describing something or someone of the Empire.

Any help would be appreciated.

its unpublished afaik.

you could go to the ask james jacob thread in the off topic section and ask him.

Or he could pop in here and confirm that the capital of the Keleshite Empire... or even if there IS a single capital of the Kelehite Empire... has not yet been published.

I've heard it's the ancient city of Fle'mar'khet.

My guess is Kelesh is either a region or area in Casmarion, and Padishah is the name of the empire proper.

Kinda of like United States of America, but most people just say America.

Matthew Morris FTW!

Padishah means "Master of Kings" in Iranian (it's a title, not a place). It is most famously used in the Dune books.

In terms of RW analogies, Parsa was the ancient name of Persepolis, the ancient Iranian capital. It is today known as Takht-e Jamshid, the "throne of Jamshid" - named for Jamshid, the mythical world emperor, who in Indian myth is Yama, king of the dead and judge of the Hells. He is worshipped in China, SE Asia, and Japan as well. He graces the hell banknotes burned at Chinese traditional funerals. The secret magic treasuries of Jamshid in Iranian and Arabic legend are part of folklore and feature in the 1001 Nights.

If Parsa is Persepolis, we could have Keleshepolis, or Kelasha, or something like it.

Very cool. I know of Persepolis since I play a lot of Civilization, but Keleshepolis reads and sounds odd.

I always liked Persia, even if the fictional ones from 300 whose Immortals are orcs.

If Padishah is the title of the empirial ruler, how many player would relish a campaign against the Padishah emperor? gives me all kinds of campaign ideas :)
