Summoner Enlarge Eidolon clarification - help please

So I am making a level 5 summoner to play up for a society module. In building said summoner I need a little help on how large effects the eidolon.
I know that when you get the large evolution it gives +8 str and all kinds of other good things. My summoner is not high enough to get large so I was thinking of using a enlarge person wand and just tap him every time we go into a danger zone. However the stats for the
large" condition specified in the spell are different than the large condition for an eidolon.
*My question is since I am making my eidolon large with the spell do I use the stats for a large eidolon or use the stats from the spell "enlarge person"? I guess I am not sure if the eidolon is treated different?

You'll probably get better answers at the rules question forum, but as far as I understand, you use the enlarge person bonus. Fluff wise, I'd determine it to be that the enlarge person just makes you grow proportionally longer, but only enhances your muscles part of the way to accomodate your new size. The large evolution, on the other hand, can be described as literally growing in size due to the size of the muscles

But, like I said, that is flavor. And this is jut my interpretation

You use the stats from the spell. The spell is a specific exception to the normal rules for becoming large. You get the bits that are really important though, the threatening reach and the bonus to CMs. Also, the boost to strength counters the attack penalty for being large, so you get a little damage boost too.

Cool thanks for your advice. My eidolon is a quad so he also gets reach out of the spell where as if he got the large evolution reach is only given to the biped so I guess I get reach for free. I am deeply ok with that. Thanks again for help :D
