Multi classing to Cleric 3 / Cleric 3?

Rules Questions

Is there any RAW (or RAI) reason why I can't be a Cleric of a Nuetral god to channel negative energy and multiclass into Cleric of a Good god to channel positive energy?

I realise I will have a plethora of low level spells, and miss out on the higher level spells.

You cannot take the same class twice.

Or even take the same Nuetral god each time, and choose the different channeling?

could do an oracle 3/ cleric 3

Best bet is Cleric 3/Oracle of Life 3

You could argue the god you worship doesn't need to be the god you are a divine vessel for.

Actually, this is kind of a fun concept...A priest who is cursed by another god...

Being a cleric of the Good god is a gross violation of the code of conduct required by the Neutral god, and vice versa. You'd be an ex-cleric to the Neutral god and you wouldn't be able to gain a level in cleric of the Good god until you received atonement with all the extra trimmings.

It depends on the deities in question.

But yeah you can't multiclass in the same class.

Silver Crusade

Just take the Versatile Channeller feat from Ultimate Magic.

This is actually a nice concept storywise. if both classes focus on their battle aspect rather than the spellcasting aspect of it, it could actually mesh well.

Ah, that'd do what I need!

The same reason you can't multiclass as a Rogue 1/Rogue1/Rogue 1 (20 times) to get 20d6 sneak attack.

Though I would probably let a foolish person do that who wanted to have a 0 base attack and 0 fort save and 0 will save at 20.

lol, nice example. Though it points out that it is balanced.

No, actually, Fighter 1/Fighter 1/Fighter 1 etc would be... Awesome, I mean Bad. Very Bad for the Game.

Ah but you don't want to mess with his base +40 to fortitude (looks like he has a lot of *sunglasses* 40tude)

"Multiclassing

Instead of gaining the abilities granted by the next level in your character's current class, he can instead gain the 1st-level abilities of a new class, adding all of those abilities to his existing ones. This is known as “multiclassing.”

Of course, you can't.

But if you could I think Monk would be a fun choice. +40 to all saves! Unfortunately, your flurry of blows would cap out at five attacks, and you'd probably run out of monk bonus feats.

+0 BAB, only basic AC. Your character would be entirely useless, but man nothing that can be negated by a save will ever get you (until you roll a 1).
