Just curious, but has anyone made any of the items in Legend Of Zelda for Pathfinder?

Hookshot would be epic.

Agreed!

it´s kind of hard when you have the epic, awesome, mighty mastersword that's just as good if not worse than a sword made out of a mushroom, a chicken, a frog and a saw (aka the Biggoron Sword, and yes those aren't ingredients but still)

Anyhow, I want the mirror shield so I can throw back spells as often as I want. Or a bunny mask :D

Well, if I was good at making magic items, I'd make them. But, I suck at that, hell I can't even create races that well, lol.

And speaking of Legend Of Zelda, I've been tempted for a while to make the Gorons a playable race. Just for kicks.

Someone did go and make homebrew versions of the Goron and some other Legend of Zelda races. I don't recall who it was, but I did notice he had a DeviantART account. Also, someone REALLY needs to make Majora's Mask, if only because of how horrible the results might be. XD

Except Biggoron's sword is two-handed, meaning you can't use your fancy Mirror Shield while wielding it.

Easy, I'll just wear the shield on my back.

Um...why was this thread moved?

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 8

Last year when I was trying to come up with a RPG Superstar wondrous item, I briefly toyed with the idea of a pair of boots that made you more solid on the ground by granting you a bonus to CMD checks but decreased your speed. Then I realized that I was just making the Iron Boots from the Zelda games and dropped it.

You should have made them anyway. I know some of my players would have used them.

Besides, I had an idea for a race of rock like beings, but dropped it because they were too much like the Gorons, they were going to take the place of Dwarves in my setting. Actually, I think I'll make them anyway.

go for it. We could use some gorons in the game.

Well they won't be gorons, per say, but I'm going to make them.

By the way, did you ever get the chance to look over my Vulkar again?

HERE is where you can find my take on the Gorons.

the magus spell force hook charge seems to be a perfectt basis for a hookshot item

Yes, very yes

Yes, very yes

One problem with the Force Hook Charge spell is it specifically requires a target creature, which is weird. It's an easy houserule, but the RAW is quite peculiar here...

There are plenty of items that work completely differently from their spell requirements. This is an easy modification to make.

Indeed. I was more pondering aloud at the weirdness of the spell than its feasibility as a base for a Hookshot item.

Couldn't you just make the Hookshot a normal weapon, or because of what it can do you can only use magic to make it work?

Target one creature or object within range and you

WTF are you talking about?

(sorry if that sounds too snarky, not what i was going for)

Yeah... lets just pretend I didn't post that shall we? I'm going to make a mental note not to post on memory of spells I don't have properly memorized yet (aka APG and later spells)

*casts Animate Thread*

Well, there's the matter of the Chain.

So it would take Force Hook and either Minor or Major Creation, depending on how long you want it to reach.
