Ways to make a character flat footed...

Advice

List away...

1. Go before them on the surprise round or first round of combat.

gunslinger ability

I haven't personally read it, but it works as long as you have a grit point (don't have to spend it) and intentionally miss

Sneak up behind them and bop em on the head, like the feat tree wants you to do.

Go before they do in combat

Feint. Wont help you unless you take the feat to make it less then a standard action.

Im sure there are others.

That's like saying "you go to the PRD and type 'flat-footed' in the find box for me.

Okay

Quote:
At the start of a battle, before you have had a chance to act (specifically, before your first regular turn in the initiative order), you are flat-footed.

I would also include the first hit on someone that would initiate a battle. Even if that means the battle last for only one attack.

Quote:
A helpless character is also flat-footed.
Quote:
A pinned creature is tightly bound and can take few actions. A pinned creature cannot move and is flat-footed.

from the feats:

Quote:
Catch Off-Guard (Combat)
Quote:
Shatter Defenses (Combat)

Invisibility doesn't allow you to attack is if they are flat-footed but it might help in attacking before combat begins.
