The Zen Archer's flurry of blows specifically says it cannot use Rapid Shot and/or Manyshot with it.
The Sohei's description of Weapon Training says no such thing.
Please fix before RavingDork finds out!
It can also wear armor and not lose its monk powers. Well it loses the monk bonus to AC, but I think that is an acceptable trade from the Sohei's perspective.
As of now it can use RS and MS. That might be errata'd now that the cat is out of the bag since it makes the Zen Archer obsolete IMHO if this gets enough FAQ's anyway.| kyrt-ryder |
Unless I knew the target had a low AC I probably wouldn't rapidshot and flurry anyway, that's eating a -4 penalty to every shot.
Manyshot, on the other hand... would be pretty nice, but does have the rapidshot feat tax. (Granted Rapidshot isn't worthless, just situational on a character that can flurry a bow)

Sohei 20
Rapid Shot, Many Shot, Haste, Ki point, Flurry of blows and Weapon Training +6 (gloves of the duelist), weapon focus:+24(x2)/+24/+24/+24/+24/+19/+19/+14/+14/+9
And that's before stats are taken into consideration.

Subtract -2 from that (because the comparison is to other archers where you'll always Rapid Shot if you can), then add +3 due to Weapon Training + Gloves of Dueling.
-- So the Sohei gets an extra attack and he's at a higher attack bonus.
