In what situation would a Chaos Domain Cleric's Touch of Chaos ability be useful?

I have a 3rd level cleric with the Touch of Chaos ability, and am having trouble figuring out when to use it.

I would think that it would be good against an enemy that has a high attack bonus. However, since it's a spell-like ability, it provokes an Attack of Opportunity, so if I try to use it against an enemy with a high attack bonus, I'm almost sure to get hit. And since it lasts only one round, it doesn't seem the benefit is worth it.

Are there some other situations where Touch of Chaos would work well? Or is there a feat that would make it more useful?

since it works like a spell with a touch attack i think you can cast it and then move up to them to touch them.

Team up with another character that has save or suck spells to force them to double roll it (requires good coordination). Also, you probably want to use the SLA on the defensive to avoid the AoO. Maybe hold the charge if you're too worried about it.

Conductive weapon ability.
