Permanency Spell List - Updates?

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

Hi,

Do you know if the list of spells that can be made permanent with a Permanency spell has been updates? There are so many new spells with the new books, and I haven't been able to found if any of those new spells can be made permanent.

I've got my eye on these spells to make permanent:
Illusion of Calm
Youthful Appearance
Burning Gaze

Here is the current spell:
Permanency

Do you know if the list has been upgraded? Which spells do you think should be added to this list?

Silly question; is Symbol of Sealing not on the list of Symbols that can be permanency'd for a purpose? Because I'm honestly not sure what happens with that spell, once the initial Wall of Force (produced after casting it) times out, or is destroyed. Apparently, the symbol is Permanent... But nothing states that the wall Regenerates, or Reappears.

The wall of force lasts until destroyed or the duration runs out, and once destroyed, it does not reappear or regenerate. Similarly, if the wall is damaged, the hit points don't come back. It probably doesn't have a permanency option because the original version worked a bit differently, and permanency didn't make sense for it.

(edited to fix an error)

...May I ask why there is an excerpt stating that "Once triggered, the wall remains for 10 minutes per caster level"... ?

Edit: Also, thanks for the... Rather quick reply. x_X Really. Thanks.

Edit 2: It should Also be noted that a Typical Wall of Force permanency is 12,500gp... And that doesn't even include the password feature. This makes no sense to me. X_X In Either case, the destroyed wall of force is gone for good... But this is a cheaper, and far more useful alternative?

Ah, teach me to skim. That's a change from submission, and I didn't notice it when I reviewed it and my draft.

In that case, I'd allow in my games for it to made permanent with the usual cost, and handle it like other symbols do. But by the book, no permanency for you!

Wait-

I-

But Why?! Nuuu... X_X

Okay. No. You wait there, Mister Contributor!

...W-would you kindly at least explain how the spell was Meant to be run? In the best detail describable?

Because Even if you left the duration to be 10 minutes per level, that's Still merely a Wall of Force, costing roughly half the Permanency cost for a typical wall of force, that lasts only 10 minutes / caster level, And once it's gone, it's still Gone. The only benefit is the Password, which Could be used to block enemies off, and tactically let allies through... but it can't really be used in a pickle, because of the casting time!

...Pwease? Pretty Please? Barbarian-sized cherries on top?

Thank you. It's disappointing to see only a couple of spells were added there. :/

It's basically to trap something in a room where you've written the symbol. Like say if there's a horrible monster in there that you don't want your enemies freeing from, or even some nice toasty lava. Can also be used to keep things out. The original just lasted longer, and was underpriced for it considering the price of a permanent wall of force :)

Thank you, and hope to read any changes you make to it soon! =D

So True Sight would be by DM's ruling?

Hello all,
New to the forums

1) I have seen somewhere in these forums about having Strong Jaw or Lead Blades in a permanent effect.
Are those spells included somewhere in the permanency list ?

2) Also My GM tells Me that Lead blades only apply to weapons.
what argument could I use to debate for the Monk's Unarmed Strike ?

3) I have been told that in order to use a scroll of permanency, My character has to use the scroll himself. I am trying to find that exerp but can't seem to be able to. any insight please ?

thanks

1) They are not on the list.

2) None. The spell states: All melee weapons you are carrying when the spell is cast deal damage as if one size category larger than they actually are.
You don't carry an unarmed strike,

3) If you want to use the permanency scroll on is in the Self Only list, then YOU must activate the scroll. If it is on another list, anyone can.

Thanks for the answer,

like I said I'm fairly new to these forums, and My bad, I forgot to check the dates.

About the Lead Blade Spell, I also read while waiting for an answer that a Monk`s Fists are considered as much as manufactured items as natural attacks.
(Still trying to find the place it's written)

As for the Scroll, if it is cast on a ring or amulet for example, then this scroll can be used by a mage of required level? or anyone with spellcraft and/or Use Magic Device can read and activate it ?

(I'm an Old GOGG player so the new rules in PathFinder are all new to Me, I stopped playing around 2e, and switched to ShadowRun afterwards)

Being considered as weapon is not the issue. Being carried is.

Casting from a scroll or a ring makes no difference. If you are the one activating the stored magic, then the Self Olny list is open to you. If not, then it isn't. Casting from a stored source may also have CL problems.

All l I found was GOGG: Gloucestershire Organic Gardening Group. ???

I've been playing since 1st edition, D&D, but was not interested in Shadowrun due to the much darker assumptions and play of the game.
