Bull rushing to deal damage

Rules Questions

A question came up during play of the idea of rushing into a target to knock them into something solid and deal damage in doing so. In example, the idea of rushing at a skeleton and just slamming it into a wall to crush it between a rock and a hard place, so to speak.

We couldn't find rules for this, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

Well, straight out dealing damage with a Bullrush is only done when you are using the Spiked Destroyer feat to deal Spiked Armor Damage as a swift action.

As for environmental damage, the simplest way is to knock them over a cliff. There is a line of spells that can create various types of pits to knock creatures into should they succeed in avoiding them initially.

You are asking for damage sustained from a collision into an obstacle or environmental hazard.

I would say, depending on the surface, bludgeoning or piercing damage in addition to your strength modifier.

A soft wall (Wood, so on): 1d4 + (1/2)Str Modifier (Nonlethal)

A Hard Wall (Stone Wall, so on): 1d6 + Str Modifier (Bludgeoning)

A Hazardous Wall (Spiked Wall, Crystalline Cave wall): 1d10 + (1.5)*Str Modifer (Piercing, Bludgeoning)

Just an idea how something like that could look like

Sovereign Court

Sounds more like something you'd describe as how your dealing damage then something that specifically needs rules for it. Make an attack roll with your weapon/shield bash/etc and just say you smash it between the wall.

If you must there was a 3.5 ability called Dungeon Crasher for fighters you could use as a baseline. I forget where it's out of though...

If you're just trying to ram it into a wall, I would simply go with the falling damage rules, as you are trying to do basically the same thing at a different angle.

It was in a book called Dungeonscape, and was pretty good. I think at 2nd level you gain the ability to deal 4d6+2x Str bonus when you bullrush an enemy into a surface, and at 6th level it upgrades to 8d6+3x Str bonus. This replaces the bonus feats at 2nd and 6th level.

Look at ring of the ram. It does ramming damage you may be able to co-opt that to figure out how much you are talking.

I always thought it would just be more appropriate to make the target fall prone if it would get pushed into a wall or solid space. but this is my 2 cp.
