Character Generator with more than just Core?

Advice

I want to knock up a Barbarian with the Titan Mauler archetype. Is there character gen with that capability?

HeroLab.

Oh, yeah... I'm only running the demo mode of HeroLab. I don't intend to upgrade to the full version because I don't overly like it. I don't like the UI.

Anything else?

You could try sCoreGen at:

but I don't think it has what you want. For the latest updates you really have to go with HeroLab or do it yourself.

I like the sCoreGen, and use it a lot. But I want sMoreThanJustCoreGen this time. I usually prefer to go Core only as I make NPCs.

Dark Archive

Have you tried PCGen? Not sure how much they have beyond core, as I haven't been keeping up with it like I used to. I typically type my characters out these days.

I haven't used PCGen for years... I used to use it on a Mac, and we replaced that one at least three years ago.

As it is for a one off, I will do it by hand. I often prefer to do that anyway, and I've made a little spreadsheet that prints out an easy to read one page, and it only calculates the basic - skill bonus, AC, hp. It leaves lots of space for Feat/Class Features and a brief explanation.

Liberty's Edge

PCGen only has the CRB. I also hate its interface (like I hate Herolab's). sCoreGen at least makes an attempt at looking intuitive.

This is not true. The Bestiary is in, I believe the APG is in, and bits and pieces of other things are available. I don't know whether Titan Mauler, specifically, is in; I don't remember what book it's from.

A fair criticism. They are working on improving the GUI, but I don't know how much better you'll think the new one is. I haven't seen sCoreGen, and I plan to take a look at it, but how is it better than PCGen and HeroLab?

You still can't make a cavalier.

In PC-Gen? Strange, my group only uses PC-Gen and we have a cavalier that the GM allowed using a wooly rhino as a mount and it is in PC-Gen. ScoreGen I am pretty positive you cannot, but the spinoff Path_Forge I think you can and it was just updated the other day. The developer of Path_Forge is adding in Archetypes now.

You may want to check out VentureCaptain(IIRC) and Treasure Troves online character generators as well.

I just made a cavalier a couple days ago in PCGen.
In full disclosure, I should mention that I add content to my PCGen install fairly often when it isn't doing what I want it to, but I didn't 'add' cavalier.

Could you provide a direct link to the additional files?

Thanks.

Ogre does a XL decent sheet but its still WIP, though getting better...

Next upgrade should be APG + Magus... They are there now but dont quite work.

Witch etc is on the way.

For PCGen? I'm not sure what version you are using, so I'm not sure which link to post. I will put this link to the download page. I think the 5.17.8 alpha version of the program has the most recent official data files; for 5.16.4, you'll want to get the Pathfinder APG dataset Update 6, which is the second-most recent. (I thought there was an Update 7, but I don't see a link to it on the site.)

The Only Sheet

www.theonlysheet.com

Includes all 3.5 and PF up to APG, and it's pretty simple to add custom content. I's a monster Excel file.

At $20 (which includes free upgrades?) I'm likely better off with Herolab.

Anyone give me a run down on if this is worth it?

Hi Folks!

Here is the link to the latest PCGen 5.16.4 APG Update file.
