Arcane Gun gets Spell Storing???

Rules Questions

Spell Slinger can eat a spell and turn the level into an enhancment bonus onto a barrel of his arcane gun!!!! Spell Storing (a melee weapon ability) is one of those enhancments!!!!

The more I ponder the spell slinger page the more unclear it all becomes.

Maybe they put it in there because guns are (ranged) touch attacks? I don't think that works anyway, but it's the only thing I can come up with as a reason for it. Or adding it was an oversight (which there seem to be a lot of in UC). Regardless of whether or not it works with guns, it seems like it would be a waste of time/actions/spells to do something like that in combat.

It's for when you want to pistol whip someone and make their head explode with a shocking grasp!

...

Or maybe not, but damn doesn't that sound cool now?

Sovereign Court

You can pistol whip people with guns? Or is that still just a gunslinger deed?

From what I remember of spell slinger is they're who thing is shooting spells at people with the firearm so I guess it makes sense to let them store spells in it to fire later. Now if it actually functions given the rules, that I don't know.

Lantern Lodge

Of course anyone can pistol whip with a gun. It is just an improvised weapon for anyone other than the Gunslinger.
