In 3.0 Scimitar's could be used as a weapon of Finesse. Since that point Pathfinder has removed the description text of the weapon to define this. So is Scimitar a Weapon of Finesse or Not??
If it is I think using it with the feat Dervish Dance from the ISWG makes it a great weapon for rogues.
Thoughts?

Only with dervish dance. Before that, can't apply weapon finesse to the scimitar.

Yar.
Scimitars in Pathfinder are NOT Finesse weapons.
Dervish Dance exists because of this (in addition to the flavor reasons), and is what allows you to use scimitars as Finesse weapons (and then some).
Without Dervish Dance, Scimitars are NOT Finessable.
Once you get the feat Dervish Dance, THEN they are in your hands only (plus you gain your Dex mod to damage as well).

It's not, but the Dervish Dance feat replicates the mechanics of a finesse weapon and takes it one step further by using Dex for damage.
As for Rogues, they are better off doing two-weapon fighting in general because you want to trigger as many sneak attack rolls as possible.
Dervish Dance is a great feat to consider for the Magus as you'll still be able to still make use of spells in your off-hand.

Only a large creature could use a scimitar with weapon finesse in 3.0.
Scimitar: The curve on this blade makes the weapon's edge effectively sharper.
The Weapon Finesse description also only mentioned rapiers and spiked chains, not scimitars.

Actually a rogue can still do both. With a spiked gauntlet on his off hand he can both apply the benefits of this feat AND make offhand attacks if he so chooses.
