Interested; i'd like to play for a while but i'd be happy to GM eventually. I was running my own RT game until recently but ended the game as we kept losing players.
I would highly recommend getting Into the Storm (or at least a .pdf of it)- the ship origin path and expanded character creation is really good.
I would like to play the Rogue Trader; i've played quite a lot of RT so I think putting me in a leadership role would be a good move.

Alexander, I'm happy to pass the reigns to you if you feel up to it, as I'd like to play sometime, but I can handle GMing for however long.
In the meantime, I think applications are in order! I'd preferably have a smaller crew, but I can probably handle 5-6 people. As such, I'd like everyone to put together a character concept/background. About 200-300 words would be enough, although more is always good. I'm looking for both an interesting character and mastery of the English language.

Here's a writeup for a Void-Master. I originally thought to make him a pilot, but I ended up making him a deck officer with a wide variety of experience on ships. The idea is that he'd serve as a First Officer on the voidship.
Like the entirety of his family, Eli planned to serve in the Imperial Guard when he came of age. Fate, however, was against him. Eli Kage was found guilty of murder after being involved in a fight over a gambling debt. He claimed that the other man pulled a knife and he was only defending himself, but the fact remained that an officer of the Planetary Defense Force was dead. It didn’t matter that it was his own knife that killed him.
Eli was shipped off to a Penal Colony to serve out his sentence, but during the voyage the ship had a terrible accident. He has no idea what happened, or why, but when they returned from the warp it was not where they meant to go. Chaos was aboard the ship, and no one was safe. Those that fell only rose up to help the enemy. The hull bled, the horrors that they saw were indescribable. In the end, the remaining few guards were fighting alongside the prisoners. The survivors were being led by a Commissar whose unit had hitched a ride along with the prisoners. They retreated to a docking bay hoping that the Navy vessel that had responded to their distress call wouldn’t be too late. During the enemy’s final surge several of the guards and prisoners turned on their fellows. The Commissar was knocked down by an insane guardsman and was about to be torn open by his own chainsword. Eli tackled the attacker, but the man fought like one of the possessed. A backswing caught Eli on the shoulder and tore his arm right off. Fighting through the shock, the young man picked up a fallen pistol and shot the insane guardsman. He continued firing into the mass of enemies coming at them until the darkness took him.
He woke up an Imperial sick bay. His arm had been replaced with a serviceable bionic replacement and he learned that the Commissar he saved had issued a pardon on the spot. With his new found freedom he enlisted in the Imperial Navy and served for a few years. After his service was up Eli was dumped on a random Imperial Planet. It didn’t take him long to realize that he’d prefer to spend his time in space than stuck on the ground so he signed up with the next Rogue Trader vessel that happened by to search for adventure and fortune.
Now, years later he’s serving as a deck officer on that same vessel. He has a reputation as a tough as nails commander and familiar with all aspects of the ship’s day to day maintenance.
If we aren't using Into the Storm then a little bit of his background needs to be changed. Specifically the Fortress World start, but the rest is from the core book. Also, almost everything is subject to change in the interest of connecting better with the other character's backgrounds (or the whim of the GM, of course).

Thanks for the clarity. I'll have something up tomorrow. I'll roll up Dynasty stuff as well as its hard to write up a RT without it- but i'm happy for it to be subject to change.
What I will say from my experience as GMing it is that it handles troupe style play much better than PF or most RP systems. I didn't find six players much more trouble than four.

Speaking of rolling, how do you plan on doing character creation itself? Also, how strict do you want the origin paths to be (normal straight line method or will we be allowed some deviation, with good reason, of course)? Most of the background given above falls within the normal method, though if I could change Calamity to Dark Voyage, that would be great.
Edit: In retrospect, Calamity might be better, but I may have to rethink some of the rest of the path. I hadn't noticed that in order to actually follow the right order, the character would end up with a -15 Fellowship. And while his Fellowship shouldn't be extremely high, he should have *some*. He's not the best of the best officer, but he should at least be passable at command.
BoggBear
Here is a concept for a Senseschal.
The The rout he has taken is:
Homeworld: Battle fleet
Birthright: Child of the creed
Lure of the void: Hunter: Bounty Hunter
Trials and Trevails: Calamity
Motivation: Devotion: Duty
Folded steel is much stronger than normal, a dagger made of folded steel is a much more durable weapon, but only an expert would be able to tell the difference. Most people would not be able to tell the difference between a folded steel dagger and a regular dagger, but someone who knows would appreciate the hidden strength.
Some men lack the huge muscles and big guns of professional mercenaries and ex-soldiers; they do not have wall to wall charisma and a presence that seems to enter a several steps before the person.
Some men are not born to be heroes, but to support someone else, and to never fail in what they do. Some men take pride in being competent and capable of supporting whomever they end up serving in the best possible fashion.
Havelock Iacton was born on the Saint Drusus pride , a battle fleet frigate, and one of the most pious in the whole Calix sector. As such, he grew up hearing the word of the emperor before he could even walk, much less understand it.
To some people, this would be nothing short of hell, but on the Drusus, this was tempered with the family connection that exist on most battle fleet ships, and Iacton grew up with a firm foundation of faith that became central to his personality.
Because of his training as an officer, and his faith in the emperor, it was only natural to assume whatever role was necessary in life, and to seek to do it well. As such, when he was recruited as a scribe for a small but effective squad of fugitive hunters, he picked up enough knowledge about the actually hunting to be of surprising use to the crew. He might have remained with them, had it not been for the incident of Karuvar 5, something he rarely speaks about.
On Karuvar 5, the squad was cut off from extraction once the objective had been located and secured, and as the planet was a deathworld and they lacked supplied for an extended stay, this was a very bad thing indeed.
Iactron, the bounty and the captain were the only three survivors, and the captain was found in his room three days later with what appeared to be a self inflicted boltershot to his head. The captive was taken aboard the black ships and never seen again.
Some would have been broken, but anyone who looked past Iactons unassuming face and into his eyes, would see a will that had been honed into a blade of folded steel. This was not someone who would break. He had not broken on Karuvar 5, he would not break now.
To Iacton, duty is everything, duty to the emperor, duty to humanity, and duty to his superiors. He was not born to lead, but to serve. And he will serve with true distinction, never stopping, never failing.

Assuming the standard roll and place is ok but if not i'll happily re-tailor them. Link to dice rolls (only set i've made for Tristan Casmirre so no cheating involved :) )-
Wound roll- 1d5 ⇒ 4
Homeworld: Battlefleet (Into the Storn)
Birthright: Vaunted (if the free jump is not permitted will re-work this but makes sense with the backstory)- gains the Decadence talent and +3 fellowship, -3 perception and 1d5 ⇒ 3 corruption points.
Lure of the Void: Zealot (Favoured of the Faithful)- +5 Fellowship, Peer (Ecclesiarchy) talent, -5 toughness.
Trials and Travails- Dark Voyage; gain a single forbidden lore skill and the Resistance (Fear) talent and 1d5 ⇒ 2 insanity points.
Motivation: Fear (Into the Storm)- Haunted by thy own sins (300XP); gain Dark Soul, Frenzy and Flagellant talents and gain one forbidden lore as a basic skill. Gain 1d10 ⇒ 4 corruption for past sins.
Lineage (Into the Storm)- Disgraced (The Last Child)- 200XP, Gain Barter and Trade (any one) as trained skills, and gain +3 fellowship. Reduce the group's starting profit factor by 2.
Each character gets their origin path + 500XP to spend in their career; essentially mine has been spent in motivation and lineage.
1d10 ⇒ 10 4 FP
I have created this profile with the information and rolls above. Backstory to follow once complete.

It's pretty easy to roll stats here on this forum (the BBCode is right at the bottom of any post that people make):
An example set of stats would be -
2:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (2, 4) + 25 = 31
3:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (8, 7) + 25 = 40
4:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (3, 2) + 25 = 30
5:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (3, 4) + 25 = 32
6:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (7, 8) + 25 = 40
7:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (4, 5) + 25 = 34
8:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (1, 4) + 25 = 30
9:2d10 + 25 ⇒ (4, 8) + 25 = 37
Obviously if someone rolled *that* far below average (that's around 77 out of a 99 average) I'd suggest a reroll. Also, I'd suggest that we be allowed to put the rolls wherever we'd like rather than putting them straight into stats. Otherwise people's backgrounds will need to be vastly reworked.

Yeah i'm aware of the rolling stats here, prefer to use invisible castle for dice pools thats all :). Tristan's stats are a little over 99 points.
Bogg- Don't think our origin paths do much intersecting beyond that. Tristan's backstory is a little grim (i'll post it later tonight) and i'll be fiddling the order of the origin path a little to make it work; essentially he went early from a noble's life to a life in the battlefleet and has spent the majority of his life in it.
Agreed on the stats placing system. Rolling them organically is pretty grim in RT and very unforgiving.

Trials and Travails- Dark Voyage; gain a single forbidden lore skill and the Resistance (Fear) talent and 1d5 ⇒ 2 insanity points.
Unless there's an errata, it's Forbidden Lore or Resistance (Fear).
And yeah, I'm never a fan of rolling stats, but if we do roll, I *highly* recommend that we be allowed to pick where they go. It's grim and unforgiving in *any* game. Think about rolling 3d6 for stats in order for D&D. Probably the worst game mechanic ever created for a game pretending to be about roleplaying.
Master-At-Arms Lucius Azrael
I hope it's not too late to express interest; here is the backstory for Lucius Azrael, an Arch-Militant whose encounter with a Space Marine shaped his life.
Born on the small world of Perren, located on the edge of the Imperium's territory, Lucius was the son of a ex-Guardsman turned frontiersman. Growing up, learning how to survive on his own initiative and without aid from others, he was a strong and hardy child who quickly learned how to fight and how to survive. Unfortunately, that was not enough when Death came knocking on his door, as Perren was soon to be the battleground of a great battle for such a small planet; a battleground for the Emperor's Angels and the Forces of Chaos. While still a boy, Lucius and his father survived the initial confrontation intact, as they lived far from any centers of civilization, though all they had and knew was gone. But while scavenging and looking for a way to continue living he found an unlikely ally. A Space Marine, still alive, was left by his brothers, though he was so grievously wounded that without the aid of his fellow Marines, he would not survive long. But between Lucius and his father they were able to get this fallen warrior to the remnants of a nearby town, where a message was sent to the Chapter fleet, but at great cost; the father was butchered by the remaining forces of Chaos and the injured Battle-Brother was also slain when he gave his life to let Lucius escape.
And so Lucius ran and hid and survived, while gathering a group of fellow survivors all in order to strike back at the forces of Chaos as best they can, for the Space Marines did not do as thorough a job as they had thought, tricked by subterfuge, and a dark ritual of Chaos was nearing its completion on the surface of Perren. Fortunately, the God-Emperor's fortune shined on Perren and on Lucius, for the Chapter had received the message from their now-dead compatriot and returned to Perren in full-force. Coordinating their assault with the ragged band of surviving resistance members, they landed on Perren once more, with flame and bolter bringing the wrath of the God-Emperor to those forces of Chaos. Watching the righteous fury of the Chosen of the God-Emperor manifest itself against its foes, Lucius was struck with a near-divine sense of purpose; while he never may be a Space Marine, he will dedicate his life to bringing the wrath of the Emperor to his foes.
In exchange for his service in helping the fallen battle-brother call back his Chapter to eradicate the Chaos threat, the Space Marines took Lucius farther into the Imperium, to a nearby Hive World, but he did not stay long. Enlisting in the Imperial Guard as quickly as he could, he became a most-formidable warrior fighting against the myriad foes of the Imperium. Surviving countless battles and many campaigns, a feat that very few in the Guard can claim, fighting and war became second nature to Lucius, much like eating and breathing are for other men.
And yet, as the years went on, a life in service to the Emperor did not quite suit Lucius as well as he had hoped; while the fighting and the bloodshed were clearly his calling, taking orders from Commanders was growing tiresome, and more than once had a Commissar's eye lingered over him when his bloodlust grew great. And so, when he finished his current tour of duty, rather than immediately signing on for another tour, he left. Using what little pay he had saved from the Guard, he began to work as a mercenary, and he saw where that took him. But after a job for an individual whose interests leaned a little too far into the occult, and whose home was mysteriously destroyed from within and the man never heard from again, Lucius was unsure of where to go from there. Perhaps he could become a bounty hunter, or re-join the Guard, but then he heard from a contact of a Rogue Trader vessel that was docking and was looking for fighters, and so he decided to give them a chance. At the very least, it was likely to be his most highly paying job ever, and individuals such as they always have need of a steady aim and a strong hand...

Captain Tristan Casmirre
|
Heres my submission for the post of Rogue Trader- background incoming. The character is now fully made, both crunch and fluff. I have kept details on the dynasty and flagship vague as thats something we'd be figuring out together as a group.
Appearance-
Tristan Casmirre is a fairly tall, solidly built man with an impressive physique. He is always sharply dressed in fine clothing fit for a noble- which he wears a little baggy to conceal his light carapace armour from a casual observer. Tristan is approaching forty years of age but looks a little younger. His brown hair is kept short and well maintained, neatly cut every few days to keep it that way. He sports a well-trimmed moustache and beard and his mannerisms and smooth speech tell a clear story of an upbringing of wealth and the power sword and plasma pistol kept visible on his belt reinforce this while also warning those dealing with him to remain cautious and courteous. He keeps an upright posture almost all of the time and speaks with an iron air of authority that is not used to being challenged.
Background-
Tristan Casmirre was the fifth son of Constantine and Elizabeth Casmirre, head of the Casmirre Dynasty and his wife respectively. Growing up on a dynasty estate with his older brothers and sisters, he was the last child the pair bore. His early life was an easy one- as Casmirre children he and his siblings enjoyed the best of everything, enjoying a vaunted and decadent lifestyle more lavish than most of those in the Imperium could even imagine. They were all well educated but lacked one thing in particular- the presence of their parents. The Casmirre Dynasty was intricately involved with many different organisationsof the Imperium and their parents rarely had the time to visit. In his first twelve years of life, Tristan could only recall seeing his father on two occasions.
Tristan watched as his elder siblings were all used as political tools by his father; with the exception of the eldest son who joined Constantine on his flagship as his heir. The Adeptus Mechanicus, the Imperial Guard, the Administratum, powerful planetary governors and nobles- Constantine always had a role for his offspring in a powerful organisation or a powerful man to marry his sisters to. Tristan did not resent his father for this; rather he had been taught to admire the political cunning and alliances his father cemented by tying such organisations to his Dynasty in such a personal manner.
When his time finally came as the last sibling on the estate to be assigned, he waited eagerly for his appointment to the Ecclesiarchy. He had sent his father several messages over the past couple of years writing in detail his love for the Emperor and his fascination with the great teachings that shaped the entire Imperium. He declared that he would be ideal for his father to help improve relations with the Adeptus Ministorum; arguing that trust for Rogue Trader dynasties with the religious organisation was always difficult to maintain due to the Xenos and Heretical taint a Rogue Trader would sometimes encounter. He had also had some promising contact with pilgrims that had passed through and had made a positive impression on them, his master of the scriptures and prayers impressing them.
His shock was total, when he was told via an Astropathic message that he would instead be enlisted into the Imperial Navy as an Officer, a "commission fitting for the fifth in line to inherit my legacy". In other words, his life was of little importance to his father and he cared little for his future. Tristan swore he would have nothing to do with his family or dynasty ever again on that day- and sent a message back to his father in a fit of rage saying as much.
He kept that oath for over two decades, his wits, devotion to the Emperor, charm and keen talent for command led to him rising to the rank of Captain and commanding a frigate which frequently made sojourns into the Koronus Passage on patrol. He had not heard from his Dynasty in all that time, but was shocked when he received a message that his father, mother and all his siblings had perished in a xenos attack on Casmirre's Pride; a colony his family established and favoured as a holiday home. They had gathered to celebrate Constantine's latest achievement only for the planet to be unexpectedly swarmed by Orks- the planet ravaged and the dynasty's flagship destroyed. Now, Captain Tristan Casmirre was the last child of the dynasty, sole heir to the organisation; something he had never dreamed would be possible. All he had to do was complete his next tour of duty and return to the Imperium and he could claim his monumentous prize. He knew he could do the Emperor's work with such might and power at his command.
Unbeknowst to Tristan however, the touch of chaos had crept into his vessel on the last warp journey it took; the cultists and heretics hiding among the faithful on his vessel watered the sick seed of discontent aboard and before Tristan knew what was happening- sprung a mutiny with the aid of a Warp Daemon, just as he was so close to reaching Imperial Space once more. Tristan speaks little of the terrible months that followed fighting for the lives and souls of his crew, but it clearly left its mark on the man. He is more devout han ever before but it is whispered throughout the Imperial Navy that his soul is cursed for the terrible things he did to regain control of his ship. What is known for sure is that the crew that returned to Imperial space could barely even be called skeleton- nine men in every ten had been slaughtered and those that did survive had mostly been rendered insane. Those who retained their ability to speak clearly spoke of hundreds of men being flushed out of airlocks- chaos cultists and innocents alike. Of corridors in the ship becoming near-sealed up with the flesh of the fallen, mowed down by auto-gun and stubber fire at Tristan's orders.
Whatever the truth, Tristan has gained some savagery in battle since returning to the Imperium and claiming his dynasty. Duelling for his honour against a nobleman in Port Wander, his screams of bloodlust and rage as he cut the man over and over again once the duel was won disturbed many in contrast to his fine manners and charming demeanour preceding the duel. Tristan secretly flagellates himself every morning for his sins in the name of the Emperor, lashing at his own flesh with a vicious looking whip and concealing the wounds behind his clothing before he allows a single servant or crewman to attend him. The flagellation helps with the horrors of that last dark voyage but has also evolved into a crude coping mechanism for the crushing responsibility of being the last scion of the dynasty. Now that the dynasty was finally in his hands and under his control, Tristan had big plans... He would make the Emperor proud or die in the process, he swore.
Personality-
Tristan is a devout man who has been moulded into a strong and merciless commander by the Imperial Navy. He has little patience for those under his command who waste his time, but appreciates true skill and the advice of others who have managed to earn his respect. Compliments from him are rare, but always well deserved. He speaks softly and calmly with a dangerous edge and has a fairly even temper- when he does lose it he tends to go into a frenzy, attacking with total abandon through pain or even gunfire. He is comfortable either piloting the flagship or at the Command Table in the bridge, delegating tasks to others; his talent is truly in leading others and getting the most out of their efforts. He believes he has a manifest destiny yet to be revealed to him by the Emperor and in combat leads by example, rushing to close with the enemy with blade and pistol. Only an average shot with a gun, he is a little more accomplished in melee, having dueled many times in the style of fencing. Despite his talents he often finds it difficult to read other people and relies on his Seneschal to watch a situation closely and whisper his thoughts into his ear.
Eli Kage
I've rewritten this character's background to make him more in line with some of the other backgrounds, and notably to link with Tristan Casmirre, the RT. If anything isn't okay with it Alexander just let me know and I'll change it back.
Eli Kage was born on the Fortress World of <insert name here>. Since the moment he could hold a weapon he was trained to fight back the Chaos forces threatening the planet. Everyone served and no one questioned their role in keeping the Imperium safe. Most of his family were either serving the Imperium or dead, and so Eli spent most of his youth among the Ministorum, serving the clergy as well as the soldiers. For on a world such as this, both worked hand in hand to keep all taint of Chaos from the Imperium of Man.
Lying about his age, Eli signed on with the Imperial Navy as early as he could. Working his way through various vessels and positions in his time in the Navy, Eli eventually found himself working as the Master of Ordnance on a Frigate captained by Tristan Casmirre. It was on a return trip from the Koronus Passage that a mutiny took place. He doesn’t know how it started, but in the first few hours most of the officers of the crew were dead. Months later he was still fighting for his life and soul. On the rare occasion that he’s asked Eli doesn’t speak about what happened, of the things he was ordered to do. He finished his service to the Imperial Navy and left to serve his Captain’s new flagship.
Eli is known amongst the crew as a tough as nails commander and fiercely loyal to the Captain. His reaction to even a hint of disloyalty is often brutal. While not well-liked, he is respected. Eli isn’t a large man, and in fact he’s rather short, but no one would call him soft. Only north of thirty by a year or two, his hair is already grey and he appears to be at least a decade older. Scars cover the right side of his face and neck, disappearing beneath his uniform. His right arm, obviously a bionic replacement, often hangs as if he’s forgotten it’s still attached.

Jarvis Atercarina
Here is a character background, I will try and get the rest up soon, but the holiday weekend might slow things down a bit.
To be a psyker in the Imperium of Man is to be desired and reviled. There are few more hated and few more useful. Jarvis knows this better than most. Born in the fetid belly of a Black Ship of the Inquisition, not single day of his life has been his own.
His childhood was spent hungry and afraid in a sea of caged humanity, mind and dreams haunted by murmurs of the past and soundless screams or the present. Jarvis spent twelve ceaseless years in this torment, as the Black Ship meandered towards its inevitable terminus, Holy of Holies, Terra. For a million times a million souls, Terra is home to a living god, the very earth fit to be worshiped. For a young psyker of strong mind, it meant loneliness. Taken from his parents, the powerful child was given to the Adeptus Astra Telepathica.
Five years later, another Astropath joined the thousands bound in service to the Emperor. Hard of heart and strong of mind, he was entrusted with service to a Rogue Trader dynasty. He served them well, then he watched them die. Now he serves the dynasty's new master.
He is content with the life he leads, he has seen his share of horror and this has inured to the terrors of the 41st millennium. He does his duty without question and enjoys the simple pleasures it provides. As for the future, that is for others to decide.

It seems there's still need for a navigator. If there's room, here's a concept for consideration. Just background for now:
Dane Astragrad
Background
Hive World (Magisterial House) -> Stubjack -> Renegade -> Ship-Lorn -> Pride -> Navigator
Navigator house Astragrad are an illustrious clan able to trace their lineage back to the days of the great crusade. The are renowned for the purity of their blood which almost without exception yields one mutation and one mutation only – black, pupil-less eyes easily covered by darkened eyeglasses or veils. Dane was born in the spire of a hive world of Mortis and enjoyed a childhood of luxury. However, his life began to take a turn for the worse when his adolesance began. His third eye failed to form fully and the skin covering it firmly closed. By the time his siblings were begining their apprenticeships his parents swallowed their pride and had his eye sugically opened. In the process they admitted their eldest son was deformed, a terrible shame for a line that prided itself on genetic perfection.
This shame manifested itself as scorn and neglect. Dane was not apprenticed on board and Imperial Navy vessel as was traditional, though all his life he had longed to steer a mighty warship. Instead, he was assigned to a supply freighter, doomed to make the run from Mortis to a nearby agri-world over and over again for the remained of his life. He learned well enough under the tutilage of an aging member of the Astragrad line who had retired from navy service and looked set for a life of quiet service. But then, when he was still a mere fourteen years old, his true destiny began to unfold.
The transport was waylaid by pirate. Severe famine had struck a nearby system and suddenly its hold full of preserved foodstuffs became treasure. The bloodthirsty renegades swiftly stormed the ship and offloaded as much food as could fit in their frigate's hold. The few armsmen the transport had had unwisely decided to put up a fight and the enemy captain intended to have them executed. Depending on who's asking, Dane explains his next action with either compassion for his underlings, lust for adventure or hunger for power. Whatever the true reason, he offered the pirates a deal: in exchange for the lives of the armsmen he would pledge his services to them. The pirates instantly accepted, for they like many of their ilk were limited to making precalculated jumps of a few light years. With a navigator on board both their chances of survival and ability to find prey would both be greatly increased.
And so it did. The dust filled, abandoned navigation dome of the frigate was opened back up and the pirate captain put his faith in Dane – after one test. The prove he was truely prepared to leave his old life behind the young navigator was told to kill his aging mentor. He did so with little hesitation, begining a decade long career of piracy. In that time Dane turned from privilaged child to hardened void farer. More and more he was used in boarding actions, for the power of his lidless stare could break foes that simple shotcannons could not. He learned to track ships through realspace, unerringly tracking down fleeing prey and avoiding navel patrol routes. He took to the pirate life with gusto, frequenting secret ports and dealing with all manner of scum. He and his crewmates had a line, however – they would not suffer the presence of followers of the dark gods.
That chapter of Dane's life finally closed, however, when the pirate frigate was overtaken by an Imperial Navy light cruiser. Torn in half by a lance strick it was left to drift as a hulk, the Navy captain not deeming it worth his time to salvage or even vapourize. The bridge of the frigate remained pressurized along with several of it's upper decks. The handful of suriving crew, though, quickly turned on each other in a desperate fight for food and warmth. Any camiradery was utterly forgotten, and in those dark months as the remaining air slowly leaked away Dane realized he would sink just as low as the scum he secretly thought himself better than even after ten years. He was the last survivor of the wreck and, miraculously, was rescued by a ship of the [Casmir - assuming Alex gets a slot] dynasty. It was soon discovered that his particular set of skills were as useful to a Rogue Trader as to a pirate - which perhaps says a few things about the nature of the Warrent.
Personality
Dane is driven by pride. He is still bitter at being deemed an inferior specimen by his clan and seeks to prove their judgement wrong by catching the swifted vessels and braving the most terrible warp-storms. His lust to test his skills makes his assessment of the dangers of a passage unreliable at best, but since he's the one with the third eye he is quick to reassure his captain and crew they're perfectly safe. Futhermore, he lives in dread of flaws in his genes showing themselves with further mutations. In the privacy of his chambers he often checks and rechecks his every feature for signs of change. If his flesh twists itself further he will be revealed as the misfit his peers branded him as. His demeanor is flexible – he's able to act the part of the magisterial navigator and the brutal pirate as the situation demands. Finally, regardless of what he says, being on the wrong end of aristocratic scorn has left him with a certain amount of respect for common crewmen.
Appearance
Dane is young and good looking – by navigator standards. Unless absolutely nessicary he dresses in the most practical clothes he can, favouring a plain jacket and boots over the more traditional hooded robe. He covers his unnaturally dark eyes with tinted glasses and keeps the boinic shutter over his third eye exposed, the better to display his pure blood and have his most lethal weapon ready to use. He has a short beard and keeps his blonde hair kneck length.

I've updated this profile with a full character sheet. I altered the background a bit. I noticed that in the one I just posted it sounded like the mutiny was just a normal rebellion against the Captain, so I changed it to make it clearer. And as always, I'm happy to hear any feedback about the application.

Tuesday is fine for those who said they have to wait - I'm still working out what we're going to be playing - if nobody minds too much, I think we'll start off with a published adventure, and work our way into a story of my own.
So far Tristan Casmirre, Lucius Azrael, Havelock Iacton, Eli Kage, and Jarvis Atercarina, pending a thorough reading, are accepted. Did I miss anyone?

Published adventure sounds fine- how would you like us to work out ship points and profit factor? Theres a simple table in the core book but theres also a nice ship/warrant origin path in Into the Storm where we could all make one choice each. Alternatively you could just decide our starting ship and PF yourself.
I kept information on the Casmirre dynasty very vague so it could be expanded by the group or GM later.

Myself, Balodek and seekerofshadowlight. If you only want to run for five though I can start a second game (assuming two or three more players show themselves). I'm going to start running a face-to-face rogue trader campaign this thursday and there's no reason I can't use the same material for a PbP.
