We'd love to see everyone at PaizoCon. Sadly, we know not everyone can make it. But when life gives you lemons, you make citrus-based alchemcial bombs! So, I'm pleased to announce:

The "Sorry You Won't Be At PaizoCon" Sale!

Starting now, right through the weekend, and a few days beyond (because we'll be too tired to flip the switch back) every SGG PDF is 50% off here at Paizo!

We'd rather run a game for your at PaizoCon and sit with you at the banquet... but until cheap VR goggles makes that an option, this is a way we can boost your gaming fun for the second weekend in June!

Dark Archive

wow, now that is a nice gesture!
now what to get....

Combustible lemons!

So would citrus based alchemical bombs do like 1d6 damage with a dc 12 fort save to avoid being blinded for one round?

At these prices, how about everything!?

(Well, I had to [try...)

If you're into dragons, Codex Draconis: Green Menace of the Woodlands just went up for sale!

Yes. Yes they would.

Or, for an alchemist's bombs, -1d6 bomb damage, primary target makes a Fortitude save to avoid being blinded for one round. But, then gets +1 to Diplomacy checks for 1 hour by being lemon-fresh!

Liberty's Edge

Very nice!

16 more from me today when I saw the sale. I am looking forward to reading them. Several new magic, the codex draconis line, minus the green one, cause that went up in between, a feat or two, and the advanced and ultimate lines. Sigh. Too much material not enough time to incorporate all of it.

Very awesme and very nice of you guys!! Thank you very much!

Now if we can just get this up as the store blog asap to make sure as many fans of SGG knows about this as possible and so they have enough time to take advantage, that would truly rock for all!!

Ps, shameless plug for SGG: I knew about this sale via Owen's FB page, so if you wanna keep up to date follow them there.

Hmm, Owen, does SGG have a fan page?? Cuz I know an actual person has a much smaller limit to the number of friends one can have vs a fan page, which can have a TON.

Yep! In fact if you go to our website, there's a tab on the right-hand edge that says "Follow Me." From there you can get to SGG's Facebook, or the twitter for me, Stan!, or even Hyrum (left over from the "old days."

Well, this just became the "Dang It, I Won't Be At PaizoCon" sale. Kidney stones have laid me low, and I can't fly out. for those of you who were looking forward to meeting me at the con, I am sincerely so sorry. Stan! will still be present, and can take care of anything that gets messed up by my absence.

For those of you not going to the Con... well now I'm going to be bored, goofy on pain pills, and have the keys to the company while the other Geniuses are all busy. I assure you, I'm going to get up to something, and soon. I aim to misbehave.

Liberty's Edge

Oh! Booo! Dangit! That sucks, Owen, hope you feel better.

Ouch. I had one...they gave me my first ever dose of morphine for the pain. it worked, but for the next two days whenever I stopped moving I fell asleep!

The Exchange

Ack! Two time kidney stone survivor. My deepest sympathies. :-/

On the other hand, the morphine is amazing...

Sorry I won't meet you at the Con.

Dark Archive

Sorry to hear that you won't be able to go to PaizoCon.

I bought some stuff, since my cunning plan to win your character design competition seems to have fallen through. :)

Will someone (Stan! perhaps, whose Game Mechanics stuff I loved) perhaps be running that game anyway?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Owen... I LOVE you man. (And I mean that in as an un-creepy way as possible).

The news of Green Dragon Codex (plus the existing Blue Dragon Codex) makes me smile... so I know 2 things I'll be getting. (And (as you said) at these prices I'm thinking the Psionic Feats (for use with DSP's Psionics Unleashed) and the Magus Archetypes will be another pair of acquisitions.

Thank you.

~Dean

EDIT: And I just noticed that you say you won't be at Paizocon now. I'm sorry to hear that Owen.

But, your sale STILL rocks!

Kidney stone survivor here, too. Not the worst pain I've felt, but I remember the whole 12 hour of hurting with a shudder.

Thank you for the sale. Won't be able to be athe con - nor will for a while, unless they do a PaizoCon Europe, or even better a PaizoCon Italy! - so I grabbed the whole options line, a couple of magic guides I missed and another product (the whole bunch under 11 bucks!).

I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

:D

(So, enough mirth, let's have a look at that sale).

And get better, Owen!

Awesome deal. Snagged The Enforcer, Time Thief & Time Warden.

I really like the Enforcer, I'm upconverting it for my homebrew.

all hail the psionic rune dragons!

Owen K. C. Stephens wrote:

Psionic dragons that are covered with shifting runes, or dragons that craft psionic runes, or dragon-like creatures made of psychic energy that appear as flying collections of twisting serpentine runes?

So many options...

Or perhaps 'dragon' is a metaphor, and it's really a human mentalist / monk who crafts glowing runes in the air using martial arts kata that uncoil into telepathic and telekinetic manifestations shaped like glowing dragons.

Ooh, that is a neat visual.

Aang's all like 'swish, spin, ha!' and there's a breeze.

Our gal's all 'dance, pose, palm-strike' and the glowing runes around her form into a dragon of shimmering energy and eat his face.

To quote Futurama "First the one, then the other." Make them the different age categories for what is technically the same creature.

I would **LOVE** to see the first as the Psionic Rune Dragons, and the last as a really badass complementary class.

Both need to be created, go go go, lol

Ummm... without giving away TOO much... wait for the Psionic Bestiary (or whatever Jeremy and Andreas decide to call it).

You (might) be pleasantly surprised. :)

Just sayin'. ;)

TEASE!! :D

lol @ poor Aang!

Got 4 archetype books, the advanced options and ultimate options.

Printed them all out and bound them as a compilation.

Anyway, I mentioned this elsewhere, but maybe you overlooked it, so I'll repeat it here:

Found a small error: The justicar class gets the slayer ability twice - on level 10 and 17. Which one is right? What is the other one supposed to be?

I have two ideas for possible fixes:

Either you just get rid of the level 10 ability - the inquisitor gets it at level 17, so 10 seems a bit early.

The alternative would be slayer at 10 and greater at 17 (and nothing at 19)

How embarrassing... I bolded my typo... I of course meant FEEL better soon. (No way I can really spin that and say I meant "Get back on your feet" or even "Give us more Options with Feats." :P

Yeah... anyway... Owen FEEL better soon. ;)

Sorry, IU did miss you posting it earlier, though I see it now that I go back and look at the justicar thread. i blame the painkillers1

(Okay, that's probably the last time I can get away with that excuse... I really am feeling much better, and thanks to everyone for the kind wishes!)

You're right, that's an error. I had to go back to my original notes to figure out what happened, and the right answer to "What the heck did Owen mean" isn't any of your very reasonable answers.

It should work like this (and I'll put in for an errata)

10th Level: Lesser Slayer
At 10th level, a justicar learns to focus his judgment. Whenever a justicar uses his judgment ability, he may select one type of judgment to focus on. He is treated as if he is two levels higher for the purposes of determining the bonus granted by this judgment. Unlike other types of judgment, the one enhanced by this ability cannot be changed for the remainder of the judgment.

17th level: Slayer
At 17th level, when a justicar opts to focus on a judgment, he is treated as if he is five level higher for purposes of determining the bonus granted by the judgment. This ability replaces lesser judgment,m and is otherwise identical to it.

19th Level: Greater Slayer
Greater Slayer (Ex): At 19th level, a justicar can focus on multiple judgments at once. He can select two judgments to gain the benefit of the slayer ability, and once a round can change even a slayer-focused judgment as a swift action.

14 titles later...

:D

First, you are really welcome!

Second, I've been thinking for a while about why I am so pleased when we run a sale. Of course we make money, and that makes me happy, but I was talking it over with one of my playtesters tonight, and something clicked for me.

We have a lot of PDFs. If someone suddenly discovers us, and likes our stuff, they might feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of material to buy. Possible so much so, they give up on buying any backstock.

So the sales are a great jumping-on point. It gives fans new and old alike a chance to pick up a set of things they missed, and that is the thought that pleases me the most.

Just thought I'd share. Quick, before the sale ends. :)

I hadn't even realized how cool your Mythic Menageries were until I happened upon the Howl at the Moon one in the product discussion and check it out. I bought both that and the Kingdom of Graves one via this sale, can't wait to read em!!

I agree!

I've only seen the various Mythic Menageries that I illustrated, but I'll echo that comment - the Mythic Menageries are very cool!

Thanks for this Owen! I managed to pick up the Time Warden that has been hovering in my "to buy next" box for a while now.
