Maybe I'm just new to the rules, but I'm a little confused by how Rapid Reload is written. If I'm reading it correctly, it works like Weapon Focus where you will buy Rapid Reload (Pistol), but if you want faster reload with a different firearm, then you need to buy Rapid Reload for it as well. So, for example, if you were using a pistol but then decided to start using a Double-Barrel Pistol and wanted to decrease the reload time, you would need to get Rapid Reload (Double-Barrel Pistol). Am I reading it correctly or is there something that I'm missing?

I think, and I say this advisedly since we haven't seen the final wording on the feat, that there are two or three categories of guns: pistol, musket, and maybe something else. Kind of like weapon groups. So you get the feat for the weapon group (pistol) and it applies to all pistols, but if you picked up a musket it wouldn't apply.

Yes. That's how it works.
Every DM i've played with just say Rapid Reload applies to anything of that type. So if I had RR for Crossbows, it was all of them. Same way with Firearms. So I'm been lucky. :P
