The 6 million Gold Piece Man

Homebrew and House Rules

You got 6 million Gold Pieces to spend...

What materials are we allowed to use and what level we?

I'll get back to you. I assume anything within the Core rulebook, APG, etc. are fair game?

Sovereign Court

i think you'll run out of slots around 300,000... but I guess you can have tons of pearl of power necklaces (slotless ahoy!)

Grand Lodge

What level am I?
Because if I'm 7th level with leadership I have an group of followers to equip. And can I buy a country or start one if we are using Kingmaker rules?

Dont forget Tomes/Manuals etc - not sure if these are available in Pathfinder. Or they could use that 6 million to buy wishes for stat/xp etc bumps.

I dont think the economies are in sync though... the 600K man may be closer.

100 scrolls of Wish could be a start.

F'n Ninjas tonight!

Well...76 ounce of gold = cost of quarrying 1000 cubic feet of stone.

Sovereign Court

Is there a gold piece Golem yet? Because, that would be the most awesome 6 Million Man ever. CR30, treasure is his corpse?

Ok, 60 tons of gold... Well... I'd be able to pay 1% of the interest on the national debt... Or I could just offer the 2.8 billion for an assassin.

On the other hand, I could probably buy a small country, raise an army, and buy the uber expensive stuff that's really just amusing more than useful (pale green ioun stone here I come!).

Well lets see i would buy 598 Type IV Bags of Holding and 1 Portable Hole. I would then fill each bag with 1,440 pounds of earth and then place each into another bag until i had one bag filled holding 861,120 pounds of earth and 597 Type IV Bags of Holding.

Then i would place the Bag into the Portable Hole and laugh like an evil mad genius as i began my slow process of destroying the material plane. Muahhhh.

Unfortunately you can't put a bag of holding into another one, two extra dimensional spaces cannot occupy the same space

Buy 10 Adamantine Golems.

Or I could buy one of everything, and get a Staff of Wish or scrolls of it with the spare change.

Or I could just buy four Staffs of Wish for 1322000 each at CL 20 (1 charge per Wish). I'm a level 20 Wizard, right? Yeah, now I can recharge them and get four Wishes a day for free, or use up extra charges to get more than four Wishes a day for free. Everything is now mine. I could even use Wishes to get more money, and when I have 610k extra gold from those Wishes, I could make myself a fifth Staff of Wish, so now I can cast it five times a day for free.

Oh, sorry, what did you want me to do? But I already did it! Go and check *wink*.

I seriously don't want to go through and price out an honest six million gold pieces of stuff right now.

Actually, you can. The only items which interact catastrophically are the Portable Hole with the Bag of Holding.

EDIT: I see your edit.

Actually, you can. It's just that an extra-dimensional space cannot function within another one. You CAN do the Bag of Holding within a Bag of Holding, but to access Bag 2 inside of Bag 1, you must remove Bag 2 from Bag 1 and only then can you dig around in Bag 2.

6 million eh ...

bribe a god so that I can become one.

back in 3.5 there was an estimate of how much wealth (and people) a god has (depends if he is major/minor etc), with 6 million I should be able to get godhood.

Taking the Six Million Dollar Man reference to heart, a fighter gets the crap beat out of him in battle. Barely alive and cripple, a group of spellcasters make him stronger, faster.... All of his physical ability scores and skills attached to them are maxed out. The magic users have weaved magic fibers into his body making all of the magical abilities slotless and in effect costing double (unless they were already slotless, like the Manuals). Used the Dark Blue Ioun Stone which grants a feat ability (Alertness) from a slotless item as a reference for the 10,000 gp cost for all of the feat abilities added to the fighter. This isn't finished yet, but here are all of the enhancements I've come up with so far:

Spoiler:
Ability Scores:
+5 STR (as Manual of Gainful Exercise) - 131,250 gp
+5 DEX (as Manual of Quickness of Action) - 131,250 gp
+5 CON (as Manual of Bodily Health) - 131,250 gp
+6 STR - 72,000 gp
+6 DEX - 72,000 gp
+6 CON - 72,000 gp

Skills:
+30 Acrobatics - 180,000 gp
+30 Climb - 180,000 gp
+30 Disable Device - 180,000 gp
+30 Escape Artist - 180,000 gp
+30 Fly - 180,000 gp
+30 Perception - 180,000 gp
+30 Ride - 180,000 gp
+30 Slight of Hand - 180,000 gp
+30 Stealth - 180,000 gp
+30 Swim - 180,000 gp

Feats:
Dodge - 10,000 gp
Endurance - 10,000 gp
-Diehard - 10,000 gp
--Fast Healer - 10,000 gp
Fleet x16 - 160,000 gp (110 ft base speed)
Great Fortitude - 10,000 gp
-Improved Great Fortitude - 10,000 gp
Improved Initiative - 10,000 gp
Improved Unarmed Strike - 10,000 gp
Iron Will - 10,000 gp
-Improved Iron Will - 10,000 gp
Lightning Reflexes - 10,000 gp
-Improved Lightning Reflexes - 10,000 gp
Nimble Moves - 10,000 gp
-Acrobatic Steps - 10,000 gp
Run - 10,000 gp
Toughness - 10,000 gp
Two-Weapon Fighting - 10,000 gp
-Double Slice - 10,000 gp

Other:
Darkvision - 24,000 gp
Fly Speed 60 Feet (as Wings of Flying) - 108,000 gp
Natural Armor +5 - 100,000 gp
Deflection Bonus +5 - 100,000 gp
Evasion (as Ring of Evasion) - 50,000 gp
Freedom of Movement (as Ring of Freedom of Movement) - 80,000 gp
Regeneration (as Ring of Regeneration) - 180,000 gp

And that's only 3,391,750 gp so far, a little over half. Some of the abilities were based on the 6,000,000 Man, like Fleet x16 and Run lets him run at speeds over 60 mph and he has darkvision and max bonus to Perception from the cyborg eye. I'll probably swap darkvision for true seeing, though....

6 Million Gold? Time to take over a small Evil-Aligned Kingdom! Buy a large mansion, pay some trustworthy, tight-lipped Dwarves to expand the basement, fortify the walls, create some secret rooms, apply traps, about 500,000 gold.

Some high-level guards for the mansion, 15 of them around the 5th level, under contract so if they betray me I can nail their asses to the proverbial wall. 300,000 should do me for about 5 years, including wages, food and board and magical items to give them a bit of a boost.

Buy controlling shares in the local grain, fruit and vegetable businesses. This means farms, merchants, shops, another 400,000 ought to cover it, including seed-stock, repairing fences, hiring more farm-hands and labourers, building grainaries and vermin-proofing the stores and warehouses.

A million gold pieces set aside for bribes. Enough to keep the local Nobles and Guilds out of my hair for a few years while my grand plan grows to fruition.

A million gold pieces set aside to creating an informant network as I slowly corner the market of food-produce, slowly bringing the local economy under my control and neuter the local Kingdom's own information network and co-opt the more useful members. Slowly branch out to gain controlling shares in other industries, slowly, using other people as puppets till I am in position to take over control of the local Kingdom and leaving a weak-willed Noble as a puppet ruler.

Keep the remaining 2.8 million gold to for additional costs and/or bribes. Slow advancement in this way enables me take over the Kingdom and institute my own personal ideaology, good or evil, chaotic or lawful.

This is awesome. My E6 game is a super heroes setting with some characters having powers way above their CR. I might put this guy in!

For that much, you can move into an Adamentine golem. Sure, it would be custom but: Make a custom adamentine golem that is hollow and can carry you inside it. Buy a ring of sustenance. Enjoy new adamentine body.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 8

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him.

Don't really know what you're looking for, and someone else can figure out how much this actually costs.

But you start with a man made of wood... SORRY... you start with a human male, who was flying an experimental airship and had a horrible accident.

You use golem craft technology combined with random alchemist stuff and you give him magical limbs and an eye to replace the parts of his body that had to have been amputated, plus of course reinforcement of the whole body.

He will be better than he was...
....boost his Con as high as possible with books

Faster than he was...
.... Make him Legs of Slow Motion Celerity. This will occupy the feet slot. They quadruple the wearer's base speed and give him a +20 to Acrobatics checks when jumping.

Stronger...
... Make him Arm of N-n-n-n-n-n-na!. This will occupy the wrist slot (even though it is only one arm). Treat his Strength and carrying capacity as if he had a Strength of 28, but only when performing actions with that specific arm (so attack rolls with his other arm use his normal unaltered strength, etc). The drawback is his other arm is normal so he can't, say, break manacles binding both wrists because he'll pull off his normal arm.

Da-da-da-da, da-da-da-duh da-da-da-da...
... Make him Eye of Dramatic Squinting. Occupies the eyes slot (even though is only one eye). Grants him darkvision, low-light vision, and improves sight-based Perception checks by +10. If unobstructed, he can see clearly up to a mile away.

These wondrous items once installed cannot be removed. If sundered, disjuncted, or otherwise disrupted for more than 1 hour, the Six Million Gold Piece man falls unconscious and must take 1d6 Constitution damage every 10 minutes until he dies or is otherwise stabilized. He cannot regain consciousness until his magical limbs are functional once again or he is otherwise healed magically.

Since this is a fantasy interpretation, giving him some of the golem or construct traits might be appropriate (resistances to certain magics).

When he inevitably convinces his fiancee that jumping out of airships is a good idea and she faces the consequences, she receives similar treatment except instead of the eye, she has an Ear of Mysterious Beeping (headband slot) which improves hearing based Perception checks by +20. It can allow her to hear through any barrier except her own hair. Also, her half-construct transformation is more traumatic and she takes a permanent penalty to Wisdom as a result. However, the improved potential for character development allows her to earn a Golden Figurine of Power a year and a half in, something her predecessor never achieves.
