Hey. I'm trying to think why my Nature Oracle has the Clouded Vision curse, or vice versa. Any advice?
I've seen great ideas for other combo's, such as Heaven/Clouded, where the Powers that Be simply want you to only see the night stars at a certain point. etc etc.
But I've tried for a while now & can't think of a reason why this combination would be. Please help. Thanks!

But that's the thing that makes it difficult to think of something for me. What force of Nature would blind you from actually seeing Nature (since it is all around you, in the adventurer's life at least, for the most part). They are effectively taking the sky away from you (which is a part of the Natural world), etc. It doesn't seem a very natural thing to do. So I want to go about it a different way if I can. I still want to make this combo work but differently, without the "All they want you to see is Nature" idea.
It sounds like it works fine for you & that's great. I just feel like something a little different, if its possible. Thanks for the ideas you two.

You don't see too little, you see too much. All life, all natural forces, blur together into an overwhelming sea of life and elemental energy, beyond your 'clouded vision' range.
Sometimes you stare into the swirling discordancy that is raw inchoate nature, just beyond your field of vision, and nobody understands the tears from your eyes, as you see things beautiful and raw and terrible, the natural world in all it's wonder, and all it's ugliness, that words can never describe.

Most animals depend on senses other than sight, but humans and demi-humans believe that sight is all we need. Perhaps your sight has been taken away to make you learn to use your other senses as the animals do.
+1
Open your senses. The sounds, the scents. This is how nature perceives itself.

I don't know if you've ever seen the Nickelodeon cartoon "Avatar: The Last Airbender" but on that show, Toph the Earthbender was born blind and learned her skills and how to sense the world around her from moles burrowing in the ground.
I like the idea of the "other senses" being more attuned than vision for the nature oracle, because truly a tiny minority of living things rely on sight at all.

Perhaps the blindness could be explained by sensory overload? After all, a human (dwarf, elf, etc...) is designed to use five senses. It's not unreasonable to think that suddenly adding another sense or two could cause problems.
An Oracle's blindness could be self-inflicted, caused by a blindfold, or simply a matter of keeping their eyes closed, because trying to "see" causes extreme disorientation or crippling headaches.
