Does this feat allow you to use spells like charm animal and such on vermin? Normally vermin are immune to mind affecting effects but was wondering if the feat made a difference.
I'd hope so. That or it would be completely useless. All those animal specific spells are mind affecting compulsions. If you couldn't, you could target them, but they'd still be immune...
Vermin heart should really say it ignores the vermin's immunity though, assuming that is the case. The only spell that comes to mind that targets animals and isn't a compulsion is awaken.

Sorry to necro this one, but I'm looking for the same info and this came up in my search, so getting an answer on this thread is probably better idea than creating a new thread.
Does the Vermin Heart feat (advanced player's guide) allow mind-affecting effects from spells and Wild Empathy to apply to "Mindless" Vermin?
Feat is detailed here
Given that vermin are almost always mindless, the feat's description regarding spells comes into question as most of the druid spells which affect animals specifically are also spells that mindless vermin would be unaffected by.
