Seeking a replacement player in a Curse of the Crimson Throne PbP. Still early in the first part (everyone is still 1st level). GM posts are generally once/day on weekdays. We have four current players:
Human Ranger (Sable Marine)
Human Cleric of Pharasma (focused on ranged combat)
Halfling Rogue (planning to take some levels of fighter)
Human Arcane Sorceror
Mechanically, someone capable of taking on front-line melee would fit in well. Please consult the player’s guide to make sure that you have a suitable character for the game. You can ignore the portion of the player’s guide that talks about coming up with a background concerning Gaedren Lamm, he has already been dealt with (although it might give you something to bond with the rest of the party about). Core & APG only (exceptions MAY be granted, but it will take some convincing), 20 pt buy, 2 traits, max 1st level gold. I'm thinking a fighter, part of the Korvosan militia. Coming from a long line of military men, he was dishonorably discharged, but with some string pulling from his grandfather, was able to get in with the militia.
From the advanced player's guide, I would make him a mobile fighter.
For a background trait, I'm choosing Drug Addict (personal)...which is why he got kicked out of the military.
I would like to purpose The Great Katallin. He was made for a different Korvosa based game but I could easily tweak his background to fit this game. As well as remove the bonus background feat and all.
Well, this is a long shot, but here goes. Okay, I have this halfling fighter I would like to throw in there. Also, I'm gonna go with the free hand fighter archetype and eventually to the prestige class duelist. (I know, jumping way ahead. Just an fyi, really.)
Obviously not the damage dealer you are looking for, but I figured, what the heck.
The campaign trait Framed(Family honor) I think fits well.
His persona is of a chivalrous nature.
I don't normally run small races. Like ever. I just happened to run him in RL and had a good time with him and thought he might be interesting.
Cloud, created this character for your campaign. Needs some serious fleshing out, but a lot of the basics are there. Didn't want to get too deep into all the equipment/gear until I knew I was selected.

More specifically, I think an armored front-line type would be the best complement to the group. The ranger is a power-attacking THF skirmisher, and the rogue is going to be more TWF than rogue.

Hello, If this is still open I would like to pitch my steel reinforced bowler in to the ring.
I have been wanting to try a fighter who specializes in helping others. I see the character as shield oriented and using swift aid and other body-guard type feats to help flankers bring on the pain. The character will also be able to fight solo but will shine when supporting others.
Note this may not work, but it would be fun to try. Ultimately the character may moveinto Stalwart Defender depending on for things go.
I am a noob when it comes to play-by-post. If I am selected it will be my first online game of this time. I am quite familiar with the rules however so that should be ok. I will have no problem keeping up with the posting schedule. In fact you might have problems shutting me up. :7)

Pretty much the same as pen & paper, except you'll want to create a new alias for the game, and place a statblock inside of it. :)
And a seperate avatar to represent the named person. ;)
There are a few more things I want to add to his Background, but I wanted to post my interest in this campaign before the thread closes to new interest. I am applying with Bron Lenthaven, a Shielded Fighter Archtype. He is the son of an Order of the Nail commander, however, disagreeing with the Hellknights' tactics, he joined the Eldrin Military Academy and currently works as a member of the Korvosan Guard.
Bron, I like the character. Looks pretty solid. I looked over your stuff, but the Traits spoiler wouldnt open for me, which I found odd. The rest of them opened just fine. Weird.

Bron's not going to do anything to stop the unrest. He'll just find a group of mercenaries to do the dirty work and hide in his barracks... :P
Sorry to leave everyone hanging over the weekend. It was a tough choice to make, several good characters out there. In the end, we're going to go with Jericho.
