+3 skill bonus

So you get a +3 to class skills that you put a skill point in.

Is this bonus added each level you put a point in (resulting in some freaky skill levels)

Or just the first time you put a point in (encouraging players to put a point in all their class skills; and then pound the specific ones they really want to excel in)?

It's the latter -- a flat +3 bonus for class skills regardless of how many ranks you have in them.
This means that if a 3.5 character and a PF character put max ranks into a class skill, the bonus will be the same.

You get +3 whether you have 1 rank or 20 ranks in the skill.
