Does Catch off guard let me use pistols for AoOs?

Gunslinger Discussion: Round 2

The title says it all

Technically you already could use it as an improvised weapon -- you just took a penalty for doing so.

so I can AoO away with them then? I have to be considered 'armed', the same arguement goes for a bow, I could thwack someone with the bow like a club but....yanno thats' been covered.

I really think pistol whip should allow as long as you have 1 grit, you can get in AoOs but the the mean time Im looking for another way to do it.
With just one feat. If I can't do it with catch off guard, I could just take improved unarmed strike and back hand them.

But I like being able to do something with the butt of my pistols better.

Well I can't see how catch off guard would not allow you to do it, but it doesn't explicitly say you can either.

For what it is worth I would let you do it and consider it playing by RAW.

whats more useful for a build that has dodge and mobility and expects to be mixing it up at touch AC range?

Getting use out of AoOs through something like Catch off guard (would I get to attack them at flat footed ACs on AoOs??) or deadly aim?

My opinion is deadly aim and get a cestus.

Are there any traits that give me +1 AoO?
