Can you do it?

Sleight of Hand says "You can hide a small object (including a light weapon or an easily concealed ranged weapon, such as a dart, sling, or hand crossbow) on your body."

Does this preclude one-handed ranged weapons such as the pistol, double barrel pistol, pepperbox, or dragon pistol? None of them seem to be "light weapons" or "easily concealed ranged weapons."

I'd allow it. Guns weren't the smallest things out there, but easier to conceal than a sword in most cases. Isn't there just a penalty for hiding one handed melee weapons? I'd probably use that and halve the penalty

Another way could be create weapons specific for this.

A là Derringer.

Coat pistols have the +2 bonus like daggers. There should be a group of pistols that can be hidden, but aren't so good the get the sneaky small bonus. I'd say just let slight of hand work for all pistols, as keeping one under your cloak/armored coat seems very core to the genre of gunslinger. Things like the "miniature blunderbuss" dragon pistol make me a little wary about just recommending this whole cloth though.

Defiantly worth a sidebar, or an extra line on the weapon descriptions though. Might be worth folding into "are pistols light weapons for TWF". Hand crossbows get a call out as light weapons for TWF, and as something you can slight of hand.

The one-handed firearms are "easily" concealed. The coat pistol gets a bonus like a dagger. In a world of flowing cloaks, capes, and robes (not to mention bags of holding), I think one-handed firearms are definitely possible to conceal.

Derringers can fire 2 times, but you are essentially right. Missed it :D
