Nekkid house cleaning, or nekkid sleeping? That is the question. :P

Some classic paintings of nekkid ladies edited to fit the modern body-ideal.

Um... no need to point out that this might be considered NSFW in some other parts of the world, right? Then again, these are all art, so maybe it'd slip under the radar. ;)

Edit: None of them is of Solnes cleaning or sleeping, though.

The Exchange

interesting.

One of the cats is at the door, crying so pitifully. She is acting as if she will just DIE if I do not pet her.

I might be getting one of those fancy tablet doo-dads today.

I so lacked confidence and self-knowledge in my twenties and I think unfinished is a good way to describe it. I like myself better now. I don't think I look old so I don't worry about it. Well, I do dye my hair, but I started going grey in my mid-twenties so I don't really think of that as a sign of age....now if I could just get my hair to not be red. No really, I dye it brown, it comes out red, I dye it black, it comes out black for about three days and then immediately fades to red. It's maddening. My natural haircolor was blond for crying out loud. Why is it insisiting on being red???

You should go with a natural silver color.

Also I think older women are quite attractive, but I really hate when people misinterpret that as me having a fetish for old women. There's a difference between older and old...

Nobody's greased my wheels since the Coolidge administration!

For those not on Facebook - here are two videos I find interesting

Video #1 - Walk of the Earth covering Gyote's Somebody I use to Know

which reminded of me of this recent post on Paizo with a link to a TED talk about Robot swarms. Very cool stuff.

I'm hooked on this one. Organists are like the rock stars of the classical world.

By the way, that's not a "catroll". THIS is a catroll.

There'd be a lot less of that if you'd just stop trying to pick up women at the old folks' home.

What can I say? Some of those old folks get randy...

The thing I like most about a homebrew PBP, I have the time to get inspired by an idea, find the game material to support it, and then use it to go off into possible new directions without constraint.

It reinforces the organic feel I am trying to create where the players are both being influenced and influencing the world around them.

I agree. In a tabletop, you have to be prepared, and if the PCs go off the rails, you feel like you are "winging it". In a PbP, things move slowly enough that you have time to make stuff up as you go along without it feeling haphazard.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

And MOB hits new levels creepiness. *shudder*

I have thought about just letting my hair go silver, but that would require cutting it and then it's too much work. I have naturally wavy hair so when it's long the weight of the hair pulls out most of the curl and making it easy to care for. When it's short it takes too long to straighten it. *shrug* Maybe the next time I get frustrated with long hair and forget how much work short hair is. :)

Finally got the marks from those washable bathtime crayons off the bath tub walls. Oh yeah, washable my ass. Only took like 5 years to get them all off! All hail Spic n Span and a magic eraser!

Solnes wrote:

Decided to clean the shower out, then reward myself with a 2 hour long bath. :D

Congrats on getting the marks off. And I am now so glad I never bought any of those. :)

Also magic eraser is teh awesome.

Got some of them on there from years ago.

Magic eraser is a renter's best friend. Because no matter how careful you are at some point the kids write on the wall, or the koolaid stains the cheapo Formica countertop, etc. And yet they still always find some excuse to keep the deposit. Ah well.

Darklight Sisterhood Sunday, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Scarab Sages

Huzzah! Charlie did good with his 1 year pictures today. We even got some smiles out of him. Plus, the weather was pretty awesome today - sunny, high in the 60s, with a light breeze.

We ate lunch at 5 Guys. Then came home to do some laundry. And I got some awesome map work done on CC3 while Charlie took his nap.

Now the wife is cooking dinner.

Mmmm......spaghetti and meat sauce.

Liberty's Edge RPG Superstar 2010 Top 16

Saturday - For those following the HK&HDCA D-grade semi finals (who isn't), we bowled out the vile and ignoble Kissing Point for 85 (Dementrius 11-5-0-9) and at stumps we scraped to 3/24. Not exactly great entertainment for the neutral fans.

Sunday - Rise of the Runelords game.

Spoiler:
Some zombie monstrousity lurched at my gnomish sorceror in the Runeforge crypts - Naumantinor calmly responded with a disintergrate critical to the face *pew pew 60d6 damage*. Unfortunately he sucked down a finger of death / chain lightning / quickened magic missile combo later from the lich and took a dirt nap. Thank Desna for paladins with the Ultimate Mercy feat!

This Friday - Song of Fire and Ice RPG!

Not to beat a dead horse, buttttttttt.....

You men don't get it. Its ok for men to get older. Sexy even. Men get distinguished as they get older. I know I def prefer older men.
Most women prefer older men. Most men do not prefer older women. FHDM, I said MOST. :P
Even hubby will admit that he finds younger women sexier than older women. Physically anyways. (Not that I am worried, Hubby <3's me mostest!) :D But aging is hard on us, society tells us its not ok, that we should hide the wrinkles, tuck in the tummy, cover the grey, and dress like we are still in our 20's. :P

I do enjoy plucking out my wife's grays when she is distracted. And I still think women preferring older men is more than a bit ridiculous, all things considered (save perhaps money -but that's taking the convo into a potentially ugly direction). Older women with younger men just makes more sense to me, I can't explain it, other than to say that younger women to me seem... Unfinished, somehow.

I prefer older men because they are (theoretically) patient, experienced, and more into the woman than themselves. They know who they are and what they want in life.

Younger men are selfish, less experienced all around, and have yet to settle.
And younger men also seem a little unfinished to us as well.

All the things you say about older men are EXACTLY the same way I feel about older women. Maybe we're just of one mind on this, just different genders..?

Re: nicknames, for some reason people are reluctant to use a nickname for me. Although most can't seem to get my name right either. It's Larissa. Not Melissa, not Marissa, not Clarissa or Carissa. Larissa. Although when people use my full name I feel like I'm somewhere official and formal like the DMV or the dentist or something so in the last couple of years I've started introducing myself as Rissa and asking people to call me that. And yes, I was named after the character in Doctor Zhivago. My parents intended to call me Lara as my nickname, but my grandma kept calling me Rissa and it stuck.

Re, Ma'am: Solnes is right. Them's fightin words. :P

Lynora sounds even hotter than usual. And I have no opinion on nicknames, really. How do the ladies of Fawtl feel about Madam as a form of address? Or is that even worse?

I get that sometimes- Harold and Maude was a great movie, it's not me. And I've found more than a few younger women quite attractive, it's just not a rule for me.

I like to look at younger women. They look nice. I cringe when I have to talk with most of them though.

Moorluck or Solnes, can you call me or post here when you get this message? I want to see if you object to Mr. Shiny coming there first. Thanks.

~grrrr...~ I hate that feeling of letting a friend down due to "Life, the Universe, and everything" issues. Especially since most of them are beyond my means of fixing.

Gonna be a busy week. Getting some projects squared away and prepping for next weeks trip to Norfolk. I'll be there for two weeks, working 12 hour night shifts, so my time here might be a bit disrupted. Luckily, the aircard for my laptop means ya'll might be seeing posts from me at like 0200.

Ugh, still feel like butt. :P

But hey! I can kinda taste my coffee! :D
