On a sad, serious note, just got word that my cousin's husband in CA lost his battle with cancer.

Heart-felt Condolences and a serious +1 for his family and +2 for his surviving spouse.
Thanks. He had prostate cancer that went to his brain. Only in his mid-fifties and his daughter is to be married in May. He outlasted his prognosis, and at least had time to say goodbye and be with his family.

It isn't about politics, it's about civility. It could be about a cooking show, but it just so happens that in many cases it isn't. You want it to disappear, but it won't disappear. Not if we have to keep blocking people.
I really feel bad for what happens on CJ's wall. It's one thing to have a discussion, or to have an actual argument even... but what I'm talking about isn't even arguing. This is down right fighting, and it's the same ones each and every time. How can anyone call them friends when they're going to show up and attack instead of talking?

You realize I haven't changed a bit in years. Well, I post less often on the political threads of late, but I'm not any different than I was when I first joined these boards. And I'm definitely not any different on FB. And, amazingly, I'm not really that different in real life. If someone thinks they know everything, and they think people who have a different opinion are idiots, I'm gunning for them. Period. Whether I agree with their position or not. Hasn't changed.

I don't play nice because people expect it. Also, poor Charlie got his fingers caught in the door at daycare today. Last Friday it was tripping and bonking his head. Sadly, these are the travails of a one year old learning to walk.

So I am assuming you are talking about the thread CJ started where some random guy just popped up and said 'Ron Paul is an idiot?' And when I told him that stupid pronouncements like that didn't further the discussion he turned on me and accused me of being insane? That is the guy we should feel bad for? I backed out, because I didn't want to feed the troll, but others were game to call him on his behavior.
Why do you even care? It wasn't your fight. You want to make it look like somehow HD was mean to someone, why? That guy was trolling, pure and simple. If I put on a public forum 'Obama is a Communist', or 'Obama is insane' with no other thoughts trying to justify my thoughts, then that is trolling. That is looking to stir up bad feelings. Putting useless flamebait like that up is being a troll, PERIOD. If that is the behavior you are trying to justify, then it's time to look deep into the mirror my friend.

What should I use to draw my campaign setting map?I used to use pencils, crayons, and then colored pencils. These days I use CC3. It's an awesome little program with some great stuff you can add to it.
I hear it has a steep learning curve. Is it worth buying and learning for a single map? (Yes, I know it'll be there should I enjoy it and want to make more.)

I bought new galoshes a couple of weeks ago. I really like them. And on rainy days like today it's almost irresistible to splash in puddles. :)
