What would happen if Urizen was a Genie
Whew. I thought you said "if Urizen was Jeannie." I'd be getting therapy for months.

Ok, so back onto the Star Wars thing ... when my son was three I sat down and watched all 6 Star Wars movies with him over the space of about 6 months, starting with the original trilogy then going to the prequels (we didn’t watch the second two thirds or so of Ep 3, I figured it was a bit too dark).
I kept my comments of what I thought of each movie to myself.
So a while after he’s finished them all, he wants to watch Star Wars again. I asked him if he wanted the one where Anakin is little boy, and he answered, “No, I want the real Star Wars,” (by which he meant Eps 4 to 6). Usually now he asks for “the snow one”.
Now I’m sure he probably picked up on some vibes from me, but I never said explicitly what I thought of each movie and various characters.
So I think it is more than a generational thing, or a “for the time” thing.
I was listening to a comedian or reading io9 cant remember which but he made his son watch Ep 4 then wait 6 months and watch Ep 5 and wait 6 months and watch Ep 6.... he then he put 3 weeks between Eps 1,2 & 3...
The result was the kid got a real hate on for Lucas ruining the prequels.

You have me curious. What do you find palatable?
If the words 'Nickelback' or 'Creed' are uttered, I will point and laugh.
I approve of you wearing an AC/DC hat, of course!

Thanks for the condolences guys. Truth be told I hadn't seen her in a few years, but it was petty sudden, and it still seems like we are too young for that to happen.

Nickelback and Creed: Both have one good song that I liked but of course they play their songs a million times on the radio, I hate them now.
:D Yay for ACDC hat! *goes and changes profile picture*

No because I only lived in NJ and went to orchards there. The orchards here in MN are good, but the apples are not really that much better then grocery store ones.

Oi! New Jersey and New York are only considered to be part of New England by people living elsewhere in the country. Neither actual New Englanders nor people who live in NJ or NY consider those states part of New England.

That's a new one on me. I'm from Vermont, fourth generation, and while I certainly don't care for either New York or New Jersey we definitely still count them... where are ya from?

Upstate NY. That's interesting that you found that in Vermont. I've never heard that from a New Englander.

Yankees suck, Mets suck, Rangers suck, Islanders suck, Knicks suck, Giants suck and the Jets suck. WHile we're at it, Nets suck and the Devils suck too.

You could try New England in Australia... lots of sheep, wheat, a great university and some very rugged bushland.

No, I'm from the ugly Rust Belt part of the state. The only pretty parts of the state are the ones untouched by man. That became abundantly clear the last time I went to Vermont. As we drove through rural NY, past delapidated farms, abandoned houses, battered fences, and the like. We drove over a bridge and were greeted by picket fences, freshly painted barns, and well-tended fields in VT. NY can't even do rural right.

I think people hate nickleback and creed just for the sake of it. They're ok in my book (not great, but ok).
With regard to Creed, Scott Stapp is a grade A douchebag. And I'm saying that kindly. ;-)
I think if AC/DC had happened today people would have treated them the same way (I.E. hey your music is all identifiable as yours, ok....)
Coincidentally, there's a young Aussie band that sounds rather similar to AC/DC: Airbourne.

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, after the terrible loss of his parents, Bruce dedicated his life to making the world a better place to live by using his vast fortune to ensure the end of "Reality" TV. Meanwhile, being stranded on a tropical island, Oliver was forced to become an expert in using coconuts as projectile weapons in order to protect himself from the fierce wildlife. And, across town, Clark finally consummated his relationship with Lois, only to forget his own strength and.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Airbourne rules. I don't know any other way to put it. They just rule.

Hey, if she isn't broken, battered and bruised after the fact you've probably done it wrong. Just sayin'.
Haven't checked out Airbourne yet, I'll have to.

"Diamond in the Rough" is one of those songs you put on when you are on the highway and need to go 90 MPH. :D
