You can still do that. Just as a hobby, rather than work. Do what you want, when you want.

I do, that's why I work where I do. I took a pay cut (compared to what other companies were offering me) to work here because the boss lets me set my own hours during construction season (snow obviously is an entirely different thing, but I get paid extremely well for that).
And, I've gotten enough pay raises to offset the pay cut I originally took and I don't have to do anything else except stone work and run heavy equipment.
Edit: And as a bonus I get to work with coworker, Pops, and Greg who I've worked with off and on with for 15 years and we all get along great and compliment each other's skill sets.

They are actually, every time we get a semi truck of boulders Greg spends the time to spread them out over the field so it's easy to find the boulder you need.
So yes, our boulders are free range.

I wish I had artistic skills so I could draw a guy looking like Jesus/Weird All wrangle a bunch of boulders in a field.

That's exactly what I do, I attach a rope to the skid loader and wrap it around the boulder and then pull it out of the field.

I have an off-the-wall question for any and all of our resident tech-heads:
My mother's Win10 HP laptop has somehow lost all of its audio devices. No amount of troubleshooting (guided or programmed) has yielded anything workable. As my parents are still tele-communing their religious observances, I am about to acquire a new device for them to use; this is time-sensitive. Is an Acer Chromebook a decent purchase?
Regards,
Computationally Clueless

Depends entirely on their needs. If all they need is something that can browse the web and handle telecommuting, yes, a Chromebook will probably be just fine for them.

Just to add to that as I've seen a lot of students trying to telecommute with their chromebooks and fail, as long as they use programs that rely on a web browser its fine.
But as soon as it needs some form of install, you can be in trouble as chromebooks run android. So programs that only have a windows/mac installer or driver wont work.

A baby could. Yet another reason not to reproduce! You know, other than the possibility of continuing that beard into the next generation. *shudder*

It will be a non-optional coupon. It's delivered by masked men in a windowless white van. They "escort" you to an undisclosed hair-removal treatment facility. The job is done. Then you are released at a random location somewhere within a 2 mile radius of your home.
If you can trick Vid7 into a bear costume, I know a guy who can shave him...

It's a good thing we don't have free range boulders down here. We'd lose a lot of free range drunken Floridas Man to bronco boulder riding accidents.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to get me into a bear costume. Back when I used to play Wow I mained a bear druid and bear is what everyone called me.
