Cool!
It is, and that was really fast.
Indeed!

We were able to stay within the managing company's "umbrella" so I didn't have to pay to break the current lease. Everything is working out pretty well, but my wife is getting ticked off with me for worrying about the black cloud I'm expecting to get with the silver lining.

Mairk should totally do this and up his coolness factor tenfold.

Wow. I've been put in my place. :'0

Naked home improvement!

That might change the way you'd view those videos. :)

Aw, I was hoping fake self-pity would be naked.

At least you're feeling better now. :)

Am I, Taig? AM I?!?!

Well, yeah, I am. But I feel totally unready to run a big encounter tonight.

Sorry, didn't mean to presume anything. :)

Except...I presume you'll do fine tonight.

Posts are misappearing. You would have had the top post, except your post replaced mine instead.

So, I pick a name for my monster and I realize that it sounds similar to a toy name, but I go with it anyway. Then, I send it off to the editor, who then tells me the name sounds too similar to the toy name, could you think about changing it. Then, I change the name, but it sounds kinda lame. Maybe it will grow on me. :S

I swear, every time I reload the thread, more posts appear above me. Weird.

I hate naming monsters. I always come up with stupid names. :(

I guess you'll see when it comes out. Maybe they'll stick with the original name.

I will neither confirm nor deny the monster is named after one of these.

Well, replace "mitten" with "kitten" and I've got a new monster article, thanks, but, no, it's actually #17.

Aww, hell no. I'm done with it.

I have five minutes with my arms reaching up under the sink before they seize up and refuse to work.

Me too, for today. Just looking at the trainwreck my yard is, and the trainwreck of a bathroom ..

*sigh*

Sometimes it sucks to be poor

I spent two f%+!ing hours up in the attic spraying down areas with mold with a bleach/water combo. It especially sucks when the only way into the attic is through a closet.

If this don't work, I'm gonna call in a f#@@ing expert and let him climb up there!

I've already MacGuyvered my bathroom problems to the Nth degree with no lasting success. Once my tax return comes in, I'm going to stimulate the economy of some local plumber and get that biotch redone right. Tired of drips in my cellar, that shit ain't coool.

GNNNNNG!

OWELL; one line is attached, without a leak. Gotta get the other one next; maybe I waited long enough to where my triceps will let my forearms move right.

This all brings up beautiful memories of countless hours spent with my dad. It's also why I'm committed to spending money on most of this kind of stuff and having less subscriptions than I'd like to have. ;-P

Scarab Sages

I usually leave most big plumbing jobs to the professionals. Clogged lines/toilet/sink, or maybe replacing a faucet aren't big problems for me. But because my house is somewhere around 65 years old, if I have to replace or move I line, I call someone. Same with when my hot water heater went out.

Scarab Sages

I do have one project I'd like to get done this summer - sealing my basement walls to prevent some of the moisture leak through. But first I'd have to clean the walls to get rid of the mineral deposits. It's the kind of job that'll take all summer.

Scarab Sages

I've also got to eventually replace my back fence, but that one might have to wait for another pro job. I want have a retaining wall built along my back border, instead of just the piles of stones that somewhat resemble a wall. Once I've got that in place, I can put the fence up myself.

RPG Superstar 2012

Good luck with all the various home improvement/repair projects.

Scarab Sages

Arrrrggghhh!!! Little bastard just shit everywhere!!!!

Texas clay is a b%!+@ to lay fenceposts in; my neighbor and I did one 20 foot section ourselves. Other sections I've had to call the pros for. It would've been nice if the builders did it right the first time with metal poles. I had wood poles stuck in the ground like farm fence.
Doesn't last too well.

back in 1/2 hour give or take, when my damn arms give out again.

Yeah, I did that as a paying gig right out of the Army. Man fence is a stone pony biotch to do. At least the company sprung for Boston Diggers instead of those worthless clamshell diggers. Man, digging through dirt laced with glacial rocks is no joke...

Heh. And to think of the majority of Texas were you could have lived and been outside the Blackland Prairie, yet, Fate placed you here.
