How far did you go with the Dune books?
I enjoyed myself up until the end of the third book but ** spoiler omitted **rubbed me the wrong way and I put the series down.
I don't actually remember. I think I read them in the wrong order and missed a few. Another thing for my summer reading list.
I must have been about 11 when I started reading them. You'd think I'd remember more, but it's really fuzzy.

Everything looks so good at the store! I'm really proud of the crew getting so much work done. It'll be a nice surprise to have everyone out for ice cream if we finish a bit early today. I'm sure they'll all appreciate it!
It' s gonna be weird not working here anymore. However, it's nice to get interrupted in the middle of typing a longer post to print out new tags for cupcake flavored lip gloss. I just think it is funny.

Well, Scott got on the road early to take advantage of his day off and accomplish numerous errands, only to become trapped in a massive traffic jam caused by the wreck of a truck carrying penguin cadavers intended for medical research. Meanwhile, Gerald and Jack were astonished to learn that their old enemy, Dr. Hagisevren, had survived his encounter with that school of piranah in the jungles of Bolivia. And, across town, upon finding that her computer had a virus, Brittany accused the poor machine of chea....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

yesterday I was at the stadium for Womens World Cup Germany vs Nigeria
dam was that match bad. and boring. and bad. boringly bad

I've never thought football is boring. It's way more interesting (and fun to play) than American football and baseball.*
But it's lame that it was so boring.

i think Sport has a lot to do with upbringing and bonding.
if Soccer is the thing you learned as little kid from your dad, played in elementary school, talked about with your best friends, weatched with your family - it will be your game forever.
If you had that experience with Baseball, Basketball, Euro-Handball that will be the game closest to your heard
A sport I discovered as a adult would be Rugby, but not much chance to watch it in Germany
Euro-Handball is another sport beside soccer I often went to see with my Dad but I did not follow it closely
I enjoy baseball, basketball, and American football, but not nearly as much as soccer. My dad never really did the "sport" thing with us until about six years ago, so I didn't grow up trying to understand rules. I have a LOT of good memories from my days of playing football on the playground with friends, from first grade to 7th grade. It's still my favourite sport, even though I'm only really good at climbing, running, and jumping.

Next episode: Root Beer (A&W)I would recommend not drinking that crap, especially as most Germans don't like root beer (testimony from two independent sources). If you have any option, drink something other than A&W. It's not real root beer: Very little natural flavours (very little flavour for that matter), sickly-sweet, and usually flat. I don't even use it for root beer floats.
So if you don't like A&W, please don't assume all root beer is bad. A&W is to root beer what the current Coke is to old-style Coke (except normal root beer doesn't have coke in it).
I assumed as much. Even if they did have other brands, it would probably be something like Mug.

The whole series is great. Every book to the end. It ended before his son started writing with hired hand.
