Oh, and it looks like Shiro's player is running on Saturday, so:

  • Thursday: Final Fantasy Online
  • Friday: Final Fantasy Online
  • Saturday: Costco, assault the massive pile-o-boxes in the kitchen, run the Strange Aeons Book 1 wrap-up and Book 2 intro
  • Sunday: Morning at the Fanime Con with NobodysWife done up as Lulu; afternoon at the Steampunk Con
  • Monday: More box madness
  • My manager really wants me to take Tuesday off, as no one else will be in the office, we now have infinite vacation time, and she is worried I may leave the company for greener pastures. So I may just be wandering around aimlessly on Tuesday...

If you want to get skunk smell out of your kitchen, make a curry.
    Best. Thing. Ever.
Because most collies are smart, but very young collies are outrageously stupid.
    And repeatedly so.

    Awww...poor doggy.

Luckily Skunks aren't indigenous to Denmark, so the worst smelling thing a dog could get into, would be fresh manure laid down on the field. But that smell would probably be easier, to get out of said doggy fur, then skunk spray.

Ewan McGregor was good in The Island! I suspect that in 20 years we'll basically be see him like we did Alan Rickman.

Do you have penguins in your house. He was pretty excited about the penguins.

I mean, you know, places like Orlando, or anywhere on the beach, or things like that, might have better tourist attractions… Barrel ocala has horses! Ellipses that you can't ride, because they're on private property. But we also have hills! That are also likely fenced off on private property. But we also have silver springs!… Which is actually kind of expensive, for what it is… But it's still pretty cool!

Of course, there's always the happy feet films! I think… Those are films, right X?

    Watch'a gettin'?

(And I haaaaaaaaaaaaaate getting stuck in traffic. A common failure, I know. Fortunately, I've never said anything harsher than, "Come on, guys!" - as I know from experience, exactly how easily such things are picked up - specifically two weeks of non-stop, "Come-on-guyz!" from the back seat of my car after I said it once, in frustration. XD)

So, TL, I know you're not reading my Strange Aeons campaign because of spoilers and all that, but Impus Major is seriously outdoing himself in this campaign.

You thought Malek the "romantic" grippli barbarian was bad? Try Blackwarm, the tengu necromancer who insists that undead aren't murderous abominations, they're just "misunderstood", like teenagers.

When they break free of his control and snarl at him and try to bite him, the little, "There, there! It's OK," and patting gestures are just to die for.

Impus Major -- inadvertently wrecking campaigns and turning them into comedies with bizarre character choices since 2011!

EDIT: And even though I linked to the start of the campaign, the latest post (the finale of Book 1) was the most hilarious session yet, with Blackwarm trying to Sleight of Hand a hand so he could animate it later...

I got a bottle of Estrella Galicia. Still have to chill it a bit, but I'm curious.

Let me know what you think.
You're probably not thinking «wow, this is good», but it is still way better than other Spanish beers, IMHO.

I like better 1906, the toasted version of Estrella Galicia, but it's my personal taste.

It's kind of hard to place, probably because it's both a barley beer and a corn beer. It definately has some corn sweetness to it. A little hoppier than most eurolagers I've had, but not massively so. I'd certainly drink it over any American domestic, or Stella, Heineken, or Amstel, but I'd probably drink Birra Moretti or Peroni first.

As I said, it's not so good. But as an affordable option or something to get at a bar is acceptable to me for an industrial beer.

I've never tried Birra Moretti or Peroni but I'd look for it.

I could do that too, since unless your bra straps were showing or you had a hammer & sickle or the word 'bottoms' emblazoned on the front, it wouldn't fall foul of the office dress code.

However, I wouldn't. Not while there are musketeer outfits available.

LOL. Yeah, pretty much my existence.

Even worse, after the Yahoo! fiasco last year, I stopped using Yahoo! mail. I try not to be a jerk -- I told everybody on my e-mail list I was switching to GMail. As the e-mails kept coming, I would politely remind people that I'd switched to GMail. Now, nearly a year later, when I do my monthly purge of my Yahoo! mail, I find eVites (just as happy not to get those), "urgent" messages, and whatnot.

It's amazing how hard it is to get people to change.

And for the record, I had my 1-on-1 with my manager yesterday, and it was kind of funny:
"So, you're taking Tuesday off, right?"
"No, I didn't have any plans for it."
"But you can take Tuesday off, because it doesn't affect your vacation balance."
    "Yeah..."
"And no one else is going to be in the office."
"OK. But I want to see how much work I can get done on the new project."
"Well, there's no deadline, and I really don't want you putting yourself out..."

I've never heard a manager try SO hard to get me to take a day off, without explicitly saying, "NobodysHome, take the d**n day off!"

So I dutifully informed her I would be taking Tuesday off.

Now all I have to do is figure out what the heck I'm going to do for the day...
