I can accept your position. The risk vs. reward on this one is extremely small. You're never going to win more than 1-2 year's salary, and the lawyer will eat a ton of it.
But I am a firm believer in being prepared. I've been involved in politics at the University level, community college level, small tech company level, and large tech company level.
Yes, you *never* even slightly hint at a lawsuit.
You just gather concrete evidence. E-mails. Any kind of legal recording (and the word "legal" makes this much harder than you'd think). A personal day-to-day journal on things that happened. And you keep a log. For 6-12 months.
If anything about your life changes such that you can leave the job, you wrap it in a nice little bow, and drop it on a drooling lawyer's desk. Otherwise, it was a form of peaceful meditation, possibly healthier than dreaming of dipping Axe Boy in a mixture of cow manure and skunk spray, then dropping him off at Burning Man as a piece of modern art...

Who the heck do you work for?!
A firm that does everything from cash management to security details in hostile places like Iraq.
You will understand if I don't give the name.
AH! That DOES change the environment quite a bit. Those in such intimate relations with the Pentagon are far less subject to the usual rules...

No, the store sold athletic shoes and apparel, nothing even remotely anime related.

Damn, conquering Poland takes too long, I am already at 3rd of October and still not far enough past Wisla line.
Also, the British made a strike against my border with Denmark...
How would the world look now if Nazi commanders had my strategic, tactical, and logistic skills, and French and British commanders were modest A.I. instead of old chaps from the WWI?

Oh, I would have LOVED her. I wander around in my Chefwear pants, and I've been known on occasion to get dragged to nicer restaurants in them. My favorite moment was walking into a "semi-upscale" place (somewhere around $30-$50 a plate) and finding out that the chef was IN THE SAME PANTS. They threatened to drag me into the kitchen and put me to work.
Yeah, we get along with restaurant staff. Go figure.
But blue hair and Sailor Moon? Love her!
EDIT: In spite of my typically-slovenly nature, I do try to dress for the occasion. I prefer at least slacks and a polo shirt for a better restaurant, which is "formal" in California. My friends have other ideas, and if I'm wearing something particularly ludicrous they'll drag me off just for the fun of it...

Gonna level with you guys here-- I still don't know how to convert pounds to ounces, or how the whole cups/teaspoons/tablespoons/fluid ounces thing works.

"About the same." Some of them are practically identical, just in slightly different locations. I dare you to look at pictures of all of the Imperial or Stormcloak forts and tell me A) which faction they belong to, or B) which fort they are. F@$~ing waste of a bungled plotline. You can see glimpses of how awesome it could have been in the Siege of Whiterun, particularly from the Stormcloak side, but otherwise, it's a long, boring slog.

6'1" seems to put me on the tall side of FaWtL.
Weirdly enough, a lot of the "old guard" of FaWTL were really tall. When we had our little mini-con in Myrtle Beach back in 2010, I was the second-shortest one there, the shortest being Solnes. Moorluck, Taig, Woodraven, Sharoth, and Urizen I'd all put over 6'0", at least.

My last playthrough I stayed neutral. It felt good. And mediating the factions toward the end was pretty cool.

I only remember that ounce is about 28, and troy ounce is about 32 grams. I would use it only on session/setting building for the purpose of having coins with weight equal to (fractions) of troy ounces anyway.

There's a long list of former FAWTLfolk who aren't around much anymore.
I think we're on like the 3rd generation of FAWTLfolk to be completely honest. I'm a Gen-2'er myself, I didn't come around until 2009.
The pool of people who were in all three is swiftly dwindling. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think at this point it's down to just CH, FH, David, Amby, Sharoth, and Mike. Maybe a couple others.

I think we're on Gen. 5 or so right now. You and I are probably Gen. 2 or 3. The only members of the really old old guard that I see around here with any regularity are Amby, Sharoth, CH, and FHDM.

This is 100% off-topic, but the books I'm reading currently are all worthy of recommending (if you like history):
With The Old Breed (at Peleliu & Okinawa) by E. B. Sledge
The Fall of Carthage by Adrian Goldsworthy
The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt by Toby Wilkinson
Also, I've been listening to "Classical Archeology of Ancient Greece & Rome," a lecture from the Great Courses Series by John R. Hale, Ph.D. The man is a marvelous storyteller with a mellifluous voice (sort of the anti- Kenneth W. Harl, Ph.D, if you will).
In fact, as far as Hales with mellifluous voices go, John R, Ph.D. could give Jennifer R, voice actress, a run for her money.

I've just had an epiphany-- I enjoy science fiction stories (or at least stories with the trappings of science fiction) way more than I enjoy straight-up fantasy stories.
So, my point is, does anyone want to run a PbP of that bootleg Mass Effect RPG that almost won an ENnie before it got disqualified?

*Ahem*
I know I wasn't as active in the first thread, and I didn't start posting in it until page 19, but I was definitely there. Also definitely still here. :)
